Decision taken regarding oak tree on Main Road

The Parish Council have received the findings of the tree decay detection report relating to one of the large oak trees on Main Road (near to no 63). Unfortunately, the fungal infection is widespread and this has affected the core strength of the tree and there is a substantial risk that the tree could fall down. The infection is not treatable and therefore reluctantly the Parish Council have agreed for the tree to be felled. The work will be carried out as soon as possible.
