CSCJB Forward Plan 2016/17

  1. PURPOSE

1.1To present a forward plan to structure and guide the work of the CSCJB during 2016/17.

  1. DECISIONS REQUIRED

2.1To note the2016/17 Forward Plan (appended).

2.2 To recommend further items for inclusion in the 2016/17 Forward Plan.

  1. BACKGROUND/INFORMATION

3.1Members of the CSCJB considered their forward plan for 2016/17 at their meeting on 26 April 2016.

3.2The forward plan has been updated to reflect the discussions that took place at the meeting including incorporating an item on the pan-Dorset Drug & Alcohol Strategy for the November meeting and consultation on the draft Police & Crime Plan at the February meeting.

3.3The forward plan includes both regular and specific agenda items and relates to the group’s terms of reference.

  1. FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS

4.1.Any financial implications will be highlighted in the specific items included in the plan.

  1. LEGAL IMPLICATIONS

5.1The Dorset, Poole and Bournemouth Community Safety Partnerships (CSPs) are accountable for statutory duties placed on CSPs. The partnerships have, however, delegated a number of functions to the CSCJB to deliver on their behalf.

5.2The CSCJB reports bi-annually to the three CSPs regarding progress and delivery of the delegated functions.

6.RISK MANAGEMENT IMPLICATIONS

6.1The forward plan includes a number of functions delegated by the three CSPs to the CSCJB. These functions need to be completed in order for the CSPs to fulfil their statutory duties.

7.EQUALITIES IMPLICATIONS

7.1Any equalities issues shall be highlighted and addressed during the course of the work identified in the plan.

8.CONCLUSIONS

8.1The intention of the forward plan is to help guide and structure the work of the CSCJB over the next year. Any updates to the plan will be brought to the CSCJB.
