ThepurposeofCommunityFundingGrantsistoprovidefinancialsupportforspecificprojectsandactivitiesthatpromotecommunitywellbeing.Fundsmaybeprovidedinthefollowingareas:

•CultureandArts

•SportandRecreation

•Environment/Sustainability

•PositiveAgeing

TheCitywelcomesapplicationsacrossanyoftheseareas. TheCityseekstosupportpositivesocial,cultural/artisticorsporting/recreationalbenefittotheFremantlecommunity.

WHENDOTHEFUNDINGROUNDSCLOSE?

Annual closing dates for each of these are 5.00 pm (WST) last Thursday of February (23 February 2017) and last Thursday of July (27 July 2017) -Late applications WILL NOT be accepted under any circumstances.

HOWMUCHCANIAPPLYFOR?

Atotalfundingpoolof$10,000isavailableforthiscategoryineachround. Theselectionpanelmay allocateallorsomeofthesefundstooneormoreprojects.

ASSESSMENT CRITERIA

Thisfundingcategoryisassessedbasedonthefollowingcriteria. Youmustaddressthesecriteriainyourapplication.

1.DoestheprojectreflectCityofFremantlepriorities?(20%)TheCity’sstrategicplancanbefoundhere

•Doesprojectalignwithstrategicplanandintent?

•Doestheprojectincreasecommunityparticipationandengagement?

•DoestheprojectdemonstratedirectbenefittotheFremantlecommunity?

2.Whatwilltheprojectachieve?(30%)

•Aretheprojects’aimsandobjectivesclearlyoutlined?

•Istheprojectwellplannedwithachievablecleartimelines?

•Doestheprojectstrengthenthelocalcommunity,buildcapacityandinvolvethelocalcommunity?

3.Communityneed(20%)

•Clearlyidentifiedneedfortheproject?

•Havelocalgroupsorpeoplebeeninvolvedinidentifyingthisneed?

•Istheprojectaneffectiveresponsetothisneed?

4.AccessandEquity(15%)

•Doestheprojectfocus/supportparticulartargetgroupswithinthecommunity?
