Barros et al., 2010 PT, one a series of 7 articles identifying key interventions to
implement on a public health basis and this one states that KMC is
important to reduce mortality and morbidity in third world countries.
The one that discusses how to implmement KMC as a public health
issue is Victora et al., 2010 and the series that I have listed in the
Victora et al. 2010 article.

Neu et al.,2014 PT, RCT,conducted study after discharge with one hour of KC for 8 weeks and then tested with no difference in salivary cortisol co-regulation between KC and swaddled holding group.
Nguah et al.,2011 PT, KC at home after discharge for 4 weeks. Well received, did KC at night, infants gained good weight with home KC. descript.
Quasem et al., 2003 PT/FT with home births in South America. Readily accepted.
Rao et al., 2008 PT, RCT, mothers did KMC at home and found it acceptable.

Stanton et al., 2013 PT, FT, Kc is considered a high impact measure of peripartum care
And should be included in the MNCH (Maternal , Newborn, child
Health) parameters to be measured . This was qualitative study of
mothers in Mozambique and they thought KC was important and
authors say it should be added to the evaluative criteria.
