Expressions of Interest are being called for theVines Road Redevelopment Stakeholder Advisory Group. There are six community positions available to enable the Stakeholder Advisory Group to consider communityinterest, wellbeing and the best use of the facilities. The Redevelopment includes the Western Height College(WHC), the Vines Road Community Centre, the Senior Citizens Club, a shared library with the community and a café. The recreational facilities available are the tennis courts, the sports oval, a skating area and a children’s playground.
The following is an extract from the Deed of Agreement between the Department of Education and Early Childhood (DEECD) and the City of Greater Geelong (COGG).
13.10 On or after practical completion of Stage 1 Works, the parties shall establish the Stakeholder Advisory Group.
13.11 The purpose of the Stakeholder Advisory Group is to provide guidance on the operation of the facilities on the Vines Road Site to ensure maximum community benefit.
13.12 The Stakeholder Advisory Group shall establish terms of reference and operation which are consistent with this deed, the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and the relevant follow up agreements.
Commitment level from members
Apart from establishment meetings it is envisaged a once a term meeting commitment. This willdepend on the groups Terms of Reference and the actions and the activities that may occur from the group.
