(Community) CommunityFundraising Connector

Crohn’s and Colitis Canada promises to find the cure for Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis and improve the lives of children and adults affected by these chronic diseases. Volunteers are key team members who help us deliver on this promise to the 1 million Canadians touched by these devastating chronic diseases.
Are you the right fit to join our team as a (Community) Community Fundraising Connector?

As the Community Fundraising Connector, you will provide support to local fundraising activities, including:

  • Work closely with staff partner and other volunteers to identify and build new and existing local partnerships with the goal of driving revenue opportunities
  • Support relationships with local networks that immediately or in time will create, grow or sustain financial benefit to Crohn’s and Colitis Canada
  • Source and secure new fundraising opportunities while also helping to identify relationships that could expand to a regional or national level
  • Work to secure local prizing and gifting for the purpose of supporting local fundraising initiatives
  • Source and establish opportunities and relationships for Third Party events or having Crohn’s and Colitis Canada as the charity of choice

Time Commitment:

  • 1-3 hours per week for ongoing support and liaison with staff partner, other volunteers
  • Evening and weekend activity is required to attend meetings and capture high traffic times. Some daytime availability is ideal for liaison with staff partner (phone calls, emails)
  • This role requires a commitment of a minimum of 1 year

  • Experience with community outreach, networking and comfortable making an ask
  • An established network of community connections and relationships, as well as an understanding of local industry and demographics
  • Excellent attention to detail, well organized and responsive to timely needs and opportunities
