ATHLETIC AWARD NIGHT RESCEHDULED: Athletic Awards Night will now be held TONIGHT at 6:00 pm. This is a special night of awards where all of our basketball athletes, cheerleaders, and pep squad will be recognized.
ATHLETIC UNIFORMS: If you have not turned in your basketball or cheer uniform, please turn them in to the office by Friday.
patriotic program: The 4Yr Old Preschool and Kindergarten class will be having a Patriotic Program Friday, February 16th
at 1:30 pm in the Chapel. Everyone is welcome to attend.
TELL SOMEBODY CAMPAIGN: We need to increase enrollment at CCS. Do you ever tell people about CCS? If you are alumni,
a parent of alumni, a current family, a grandparent, a volunteer or long-time supporter…think about the benefits you have experienced or observed. We all need to “TELL SOMEBODY” why we have invested now or in the past at CCS and what the benefits are for today’s families to send their children to CCS! If you “TELL SOMEBODY” and it brings a new family to CCS, you will receive a $350 discount off your family’s tuition. If you bring a new family to CCS, but don’t currently have children at CCS, you will receive a $25 gift card.

SWEET FEBRUARY FUNDRAISER: World’s Finest Chocolate sales are underway!! Stop by the office to turn in money/checks and check-out extra boxes for selling as needed. The Top 3 “Stellar Sellers” will win Fort Frenzy gift cards. Fundraiser ends March 1st.
BRING YOUR FRIEND TO SCHOOL DAY: Wednesday, March 21st will be ‘Bring Your Friend to School Day’ at CCS, where students can invite their friends to visit school with them from 1:30 – 3:00 pm. We will need all friends to RSVP ahead of time so that the teachers have a head count ahead of time. Watch the next memo for an RSVP form. This is a way that potential new students can visit CCS. Spread the word to possible new CCS families!
PTF MEETING: February 19th at 7 pm in the gym.
KINDERGARTEN ROUND UP: Help spread the word that Kindergarten Round Up will be Friday, March 9thfrom 9:00 – 11:00 am.
This is for students going into Kindergarten next year and their parents. There are postcards and flyers in the office if you would like to use them to spread the word. Each potential kindergarten student will receive a free t-shirt. Please have those you invite call to save their spot.
SAVE THE DATE - CULVER'S NIGHT:Take a break from cooking! Come join us and eat at Culver's restaurant on Tuesday, Feb. 20th anytime between 5-8 pm and CCS will receive 10% of all sales during those hours. What an easy way to "give" to CCS! Drive-thru orders count, too. Invite your friends and don't forget dessert!
AFTER SCHOOL INVOICES: If you have taken advantage of our super popular After School Program, please check your child’s bag for your January invoice. If you would prefer the invoice be e-mailed to you, please contact the office at 573-3011 or and we will be happy to send your invoice via e-mail. Thanks again for helping make this program a success!
JUMP ROPE FOR HEART: CCS students raised $780 for Jump Rope for Heart, well surpassing the $500 & $600 group goals set. There will be a celebration on Friday, February 23rd during PE where both Dr. Moffitt and Ms. Wendell have agreed to take a pie in the face as a fun and amusing reward for all the hard work put forth by the students raising funds for the American Heart Association.
BOX TOPS & CAMPBELL’S LABELS: Keep collecting!! The class that collects the most Box Tops and Labels this semester will receive their Mystery Reward at the end of the school year.
UNITED ALL-STARS UPCOMING EVENTS: United All–Stars cheer members have dropped off a couple of upcoming event flyers. They are also taking pop can donations in attempts to raise money to attend Worlds competition. A Warrior Camp for 5-12 year olds held during the Feb. 21st early out, a Sweetheart Dinner for adults on Saturday, Feb 10th and a Winter Cheer Clinic for 4-12 year olds on Saturday, March 10th. You can register for any of these events at under the services tab. Winter Clinic flyers are attached.
CCS SPRING PICTURES: Spring Pictures are scheduled for Tuesday, February 27th.
3YR OLD/4YR OLD PRESCHOOL REGISTRATION: If you know of a family who may be interested in having their child attend preschool at CCS next year, please have them get in contact with the office soon to secure a spot and pick up a registration packet for 2018. Remember, ‘TELL SOMEBODY’ - if you refer a new family to CCS and they register, you qualify for a discount on next school year’s tuition!!
IMMUNIZATION ALERT & REMINDER: If an immunization update request was sent home with your child in December, please make sure you have your child’s immunizations up-to-date no later than March 8th. Webster County Public Health mandates that students who do not have these required immunizations up-to-date by March 8th will not be allowed to attend school until this is complete. If you need another copy of your letter, please contact the office.
RESCHEDULED SIAC/SIT STRATEGIC PLANNING MEETING: A strategic planning meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, March 19th at 5:30 pm in the Chapel (light meal included). The purpose of the meeting is to update the existing five-year school improvement plan and the meeting is open to anyone interested in being part of the process. More information is available in the office. Please contact the office if you plan to attend.
