World Book Day – Book Swap
Well done and thank you to all of the children and parents who joined in the ‘Manford Book Swap’ event last Thursday. The event was a great success and enjoyed by many.
Our governor, Misbah Khurram thought so too:-
‘It was an excellent idea to organise a Book Swap morning on World Book Day. It was great to see that even the cold, windy morning couldn’t weaken the excitement of the children to come to school early and swap their books for another. Certainly a great opportunity to encourage pupils to develop their love for reading’.
London Borough of Redbridge CYPP Plan 2017
Please see overleaf a letter from the borough regarding the 2017 CYPP Plan consultation (Children and Young People’s Plan). / Red Nose Day
You should have all received a letter from Mrs Carleton about Red Nose Day on Friday 24th March. We have planned a number of activities for the day:-
  1. Come to school dressed in red and pay 50p.
  2. Crazy Hair competition.
  3. Joke Board – post your favourite joke!
  4. Decorating a cake or biscuit for 30p throughout the day.
All money raised will go to the Comic Relief cause, so please join in!
Parentmail
We still have 140 parents that have not registered for the Parentmail service. This really is the best way to keep up-to-date with all the latest news and contact from Manford. If you are having any issues registering your account, please contact the school office.
Cash Payments
Please ensure that all cash payments sent into school are put in a sealed envelope and are clearly marked with your child’s full name and class. It is very easy for loose money to go missing and we do not want this to happen!
