PBSIS FUNDRAISER
Once again, CMS will be implementing the Positive Behavior Support in Schools (PBSIS) program.
The program is designed to promote responsibility, respect, and readiness throughout our school. The students receive “Patriot Points” when demonstrating the goals of the program. Students will be selected through random drawings to win prizes for their efforts or they may use their points to purchase items throughout the school. Examples of previous prizes include gift cards, TVs, ipads, Beats headphones, bluetooth speakers, and more! Students may also use their points to purchase yearbooks, front row seats at graduation, dance tickets, trips, and items in our school store.
As a result, we will be conducting a Walk-A-Thon to raise funds for the program. The Walk-A-Thon will take place on Friday, September 23, 2016 (rain date 9/26/16). We are encouraging every student to participate in this worthwhile, fun event. The cost to participate is $10.00 per student. Students walking will be awarded 6 Patriot Points for participating. In addition, students will have the opportunity to visit the “selfie booth”. A teacher will allow the students to take a selfie with a school device to be posted on our school’s social media accounts. The cost for each selfie is $1.00 per person. Tickets may be purchased during lunches on Wednesday, September 21 and Thursday, September 22, 2016.
This is an incredible opportunity for Colonia Middle School students and faculty to raise funds for the program and have fun at the same time. Our goal is 100% participation for students and faculty members. Please help support this effort.
Please return the bottom portion of this form and participation fee in an envelope along with your child’s name and homeroom number. Return the envelope to your homeroom teacher by September 21, 2016 to participate and to earn your Patriot Points.
