St Crispin’s Science department is pleased to be able to offer two great revision resources to our year 11 students at greatly reduced prices.
Collins Revision Guide AQA - £4
We recommend this revision guide as it combines both revision materials, practice questions and mark schemes. Many students purchased these guides in year 10 and the same ones can still be used this year. However, if you missed out, this is another opportunity to get one at a reduced rate.
The revision guides are a great resource to use as a first stage in intervention when students are not on track to meet their target grade as they can be used independently and regularly at home. In addition, they will help students to fully prepare for topic tests and exams to help raise their grades.
Further Science Course - £2
Your son/daughter is also currently studying for the Further science course and we can offer the supplementary guide for £2. This guide was not sold to year 10 students last year.
Tassomai - £24
Last year, our students made great use of an online revision tool called Tassomai and those that completed around 80% of the course, spending just 10 minutes a day practicing questions and building core knowledge, did noticeably better than those that did not.
This year, we are very pleased to offer Tassomai at a considerably reduced rate, just for the rest of the academic year. A private purchase would cost a parent £250 and significantly more if you purchased both the Additional and Further science courses.
Students can use any device with an internet connection to complete practice quizzes and the software displays a digital tracker to help keep them on track ensuring they will finish the course in time for their exams. For those students who were a little unsure last year, Tassomai has had some major upgrades and is now much faster. If you would like your son/daughter to have access to Tassomai and due to circumstances require financial assistance, please contact the school office.
For parents purchasing Tassomai, once the order has been processed we will set up your son/daughter’s account and contact you with instructions on how to access and use the site. We will also send you periodic updates with your son/daughter’s progress and show you how to monitor this from home.
