Collective kitchen, let’s cook meat pies together!

On Saturday, November 12th from 9 am - 12 pm join us for our collective kitchen activity. We will prepare and cook meat pies together. For a 10$ contribution, you leave with 2 meat pies. Please let us know by Thursday, November 10th if you plan on joining us so we can do the groceries accordingly. Call us at 418-368-0288 or leave a message with your name and telephone number. Monthly breakfast*Christmas Sale*summer day camp agm

A busy morning! On Sunday, November 20thfrom 8:00 am - 10h30 am we will be having our monthly breakfast, traditional menu. Voluntary contribution, 7$ for adults (12 & over) 4$ for children (5-11 years) would be appreciated, free ages 4 and under. Everyone is welcome! Anyone wishing to sell their homemade goods, crafts, Christmas gift ideas are welcome to reserve a table, with your yearly membership card, 5$ a table or 10$ without. You must reserve and pay for your table by Friday November 18th by calling 418-368-0288. Thesalewillbeupstairsatthesametimeasthebreakfast. Thesummerday campwillbeholdingthetheirannualgeneralmeetingat10:00am in the board room, short and sweet, no obligations, just an overview of the financials and last summer’s activities, if you would like to voice your opinions or suggestions, we would like to hear from you, coffee and muffins will be served.

Happy Hour at the community center

On Friday, November 25th at 5 pm, come alone or with friends and family, bring your refreshments and a dish to share. A voluntary contribution of 3$ per family would be appreciated. All children must be supervised by a parent.

Jog your mind: Cognitive Vitality Workshops for Seniors

Vision Gaspé-Percé Now will be providing a ten week workshop for seniors who want to know more about the effects of normal aging on memory. The objectives are to learn about memory, learn tricks to help you remember important things and try fun activities that will challenge your brain. The workshops will be held at the Douglastown Community Center starting on Thursday November 10th 2016 until Thursday January 12th 2017 from 10 am to 12 pm. A maximum of 15 people/session, 5$ per session. For more information, please call 418-368-3212.

Project WILD and Below Zero Introductory Workshop

On Saturday November 5th from 8 am – 4 pm, SOS Bats will host a Combined Project WILD and Below Zero Introductory Workshop at the Douglastown community Center (conference room). Participants will be provided with a manual and materials for 70$. WILD Education is a professional development program aimed at school teachers, non-formal educators, youth group and community leaders. Participants become certified instructors of Project WILD, Below Zero and WILD about Sports. The training is in English however French manuals are available and questions can be answered in either language. The workshop will be facilitated by Fletcher Jerome. Line dancing class

On Saturday November 5th from 6 pm -8 pm, join us for a line dancing class at the Douglastown community Center (basement). Everybody is welcome, all ages and levels from beginner to advanced.
