FEEDBACK GUIDE

Collecting Employee Feedback on the NAIT 2021 Vision

Thank you for working with your team to collect feedback on the vision for NAIT 2021. The information that comes from your feedback session will be used by Dr. Glenn Feltham as he refines his vision for NAIT 2021 during the early weeks of February.

There are four ways to engage with Glenn’s vision of NAIT 2021. Use one or all of these to help collect feedback from your team.

  1. Read Glenn’s vision document together
  2. Watch a video of Glenn speaking about the vision document (20 minutes)
  3. Click on a list of video questions about the vision to see Glenn say more about that topic
  4. Take a look at a mural created by a NAIT artist that shows her interpretation of the vision document

The following is a guide for your use. Please don’t feel obligated to follow it exactly. It is meant as a helpful resource for you, not a prescription! If you have questions, please contact Sue Fitzsimmons at 8365 or .

Many thanks and have fun!

HOW TO CONDUCT THE FEEDBACK SESSION

What you’ll need: A room with a projector and network connection, two index cards for each person, a whiteboard or flipchart, markers and/or dry erase markers, two interoffice mail envelopes.

  1. Book a one hour feedback session with your teamprior to January 25, 2012. Encourage all team members to attend.
  2. Ensure you have a viewing area large enough for everyone if you’re choosing to show the video, engage with the video questions, or project the mural for your team to view.
  3. At the beginning of the feedback session, welcome your team, and thank them for coming.
  4. Sharesome or all of theemail message from Dr. Feltham, which describes why the session is so important.
  5. Engage with the vision using one or more of the four methods described above.
  6. Ask members of your team to pair up and share their thoughts. Write these two questions on a flipchart or whiteboard and ask pairs to discuss them:
  7. What struck you most about the vision of NAIT in 2021?
  8. What do you think is missing from the vision of NAIT in 2021?
  9. After some paired conversation, ask members of your team to share their thoughts with everyone.
  10. Hand out one index card per person, and ask everyone to write “What’s Missing” and note their thoughts about that on the card. Names are not required. Collect these in one envelope and title it “What’s Missing”.
  11. Then, ask everyone to quietly consider the following question: If there was one thing you could tell Glenn about the vision for NAIT 2021, what would it be? Write this question on a flipchart or whiteboard so everyone can see it.
  12. Hand out a second index card to everyone, and ask everyone to write their answer. Names are not required. Collect the index cards in the second envelope and title it “One thing to tell Glenn”.
  13. Please don’t mix up the cards. We’re going to sort them according to themes, so we need to keep them separated!
