5CHAIRMANS REPORT
A good solid year, but with reduced income compared to last year (33% down). Expenditure tracked this and was down by a similar figure.

We’ve reverted beer supply to Thomas’ business services, allowing us to get short term draft ales with zero wastage. We now have John Smiths and Fosters in place of Worthington and Carling.

We’ve a new facility to allow a small float to be kept on site at all times, so a bar can be provided at short notice.

Finally we’ve this year tracked the takings at each and every event, again a positive step.

Last year I said :

“We know that the teams all have their own funding needs and the Sports and Social Committee relies on patronage from the players to keep viable. Every year CAPFA is the sole beneficiary of CASSC, via a donation.

CAPFA’s constitution may well prevent us from helping the various sporting teams address some of their costs, but as CASSC remains a separate body, I propose the CASSC committee members meet to explore how the annual donation may be divided across the teams as well as CAPFA.

I believe that were the bar proceeds to more directly benefit the clubs themselves, then the level of support and usage may well grow”

I’m glad to say that this evening we can follow through on this promise, We’ve accepted a new principle which sees a minimum annual donation of £1200 to CAPFA and keeping a float in the bank, the rest is available to this committee’s AGM to make further donations to CAPFA and also to the sporting teams.

Tonight we have £254.19 available to donate, so I’m recommending that 100% of this is donated to the sporting clubs, of which we have two affiliated: Bowls and Cricket. I propose donations of £127.09 to each.

Finally a big thank you to all the volunteers.

6ACCOUNTS FOR 2012
The accounts were circulated by Rose Dempsey. Under new arrangements outlined in December 2012 minutes, £500 is retained, £1,200is donated to CAPFA. The committee agrees that the whole of the remainder (£254) will be split equally between Cricket and Bowls clubs (Football, as a new club, declined the offer of a share for this year).

Acceptance of the accounts for 2012:

Proposed: Fay Brown Seconded: Fiona Taylor. All in favour.

7ELECTION OF COMMITTEE 2013 [CHAIRMAN; SECRETARY; TREASURER]
Mike Berry reminded everyone that the officers and members of the committee are currently as for the CAPFA committee. All agreed to refer to the CAPFA AGMto follow. The treasurer of CASSC will be the same person as the CAPFA treasurer, although Mike Berry has agreed to help with the administration.

8OCCUPATION LICENCE/CLUB REGISTRATION

The club registration (£70) was paid to East Northants DCon 18th November 2012 but no receipt had yet been received. The occupation licence is in effect an agreement for CASSC committee to run the bar at the pavilion and runs annually from Feb. CASSC Secretary will retain a copy on file.
