i. A vote was taken to have only Research AssistantProfessors nominated, and not Research Scientists due to

continued lack of evidence as independent and not reporting to a department head. A “professor” is

definitely independent and reports to a DH, add title exceptions in letter if no professor in title -Approved

VII.MISCELLANEOUS

a. Department Heads need to send all agenda items to GPC members for review. Dawn, Dr. Reed’s

assistant will now include GPC member in emails for course requests and graduate faculty nominations

b. UCC/GC Course Submission Checklist-handout

  1. Main items returned to departments from college are:
  • Grading Policies-need A,B,C scoring table
  • Stacked courses-clearly defined requirements for graduate students
  • Attendance Policies-must include website for student rules. This covers what is needed.
