COST:Total travel cost will be approximately $275 per swimmer (not including entry fees and surcharge). If the cost per swimmer ends up more than $275 per swimmer, we will bill the balance above $275 owed after the trip. All transportation, meals, hotel accommodations, and meet snacks are included in this price. The travel trip portion 275) charged through Team Unify on Jan 1st.

WHAT TO BRING:MAC suit, MAC cap(s), goggles, extra goggles, towels, refillable water bottle, snacks, required team attire (see T-shirt order below), White clothing and accessories for Saturday’s Winter White Out at finals, Warm clothing for pool deck (e.g. parka, sweats, socks/shoes), any medicine swimmer may be taking, phone chargers.

TRIP ITINERARY:

Friday, January 13
8:45-9:25 AM- North Swimmers congregate to load bus at Exit 25 Target.
9:30AM Bus departs to Latin FROM Exit 25 Target 10:15 rendezvous at Latin for pick up
10:00 AM – South Swimmers arrive at Latin to load bus, Departing at 10:45 AM
10:45 AM- Bus/Van departs from Latin toward Augusta

11:45 AM – Bus/Van meet at SC Rest Stop to rearrange bus assignments

1:30 PM – Lunch on the way (Jason’s Deli boxed lunches provided)

3:00 PM – Arrive in Augusta

3:45 PM – Warm up

5:00 PM – Meet Start

8:30 PM– Dinner catered by Olive Garden at Hotel

[Swimmers will find out rooming assignments upon arriving at hotel]

9:00 PM – Meet Talk

SPECIAL EVENTS:Saturday’s Winter White Out – All SwimMAC swimmers wear all white to finals on Saturday night – be creative – white t-shirts, white pants/shorts, white hats/shoes/accessories, go for it!

Sunday Afternoon Movie – As part of the trip, all swimmers will receive a ticket to see Star Wars as a group on Sunday afternoon while we relax between prelims and finals. We will not be returning to the hotel that afternoon, so the movie will be our relaxation time. Anyone purchasing snacks at the movie snack bar will do so with their own money.

SCHEDULE

MEET FORMAT All events in the Friday evening session and all relays will be timed finals events. For all other events, this will be a timed finals meet for swimmers ten (10) years old and younger and a prelims/finals meet for swimmers eleven (11) years old and older.

POSITIVE CHECK IN/ DECK SEEDED EVENTS

The 500 Freestyle and 400 Individual Medley (Friday) are positive check in events and will be deck seeded. Swimmers who register for these events yet do not positively check in during the stated clerk of course hours will be assumed to be not competing and will not be seeded into them. If a limit of swimmers is set by the meet referee for these events, any swimmer originally entered who is not allowed to be seeded shall have his entry fees returned in full or will be allowed to switch to another event on a lane-available basis. Note that only swimmers and team coaches may perform the positive check in.

SCORING AND AWARDS

There will be no team or individual scoring. Ribbons will be awarded for 1st –8th place for individual events and 1st– 3rd place for relay events.

Eligibility Shark Division swimmers with 6BB or more times are eligible for this meet, including Non-Novant swimmers

ENTRY LIMIT

Any swimmer participating in only timed finals events in a given day, may swim a maximum of five (5) individual events that day. Any swimmer participating in at least one (1) prelims/finals event in a given day, may swim a maximum of three (3) individual events that day.
