Excel Philosophy
We arecommittedto ensuring that every Oklahoma Excel Volleyball Club athlete has a positive experience that fuels their love of volleyball and competition. We focus on the process over outcomes; in other words our top priority is always striving to improve and giving each athlete the feedback and tools to help them improve as a volleyball athlete and person every day.Our coaches are mentors, role models, and above all, teachers. We teach our athletes the game of volleyball including all aspects of skills training, tactical knowledge, and match strategies. Additionally we teach our athletes to be disciplined, compete and train at full effort, be a positive and supportive teammate, be a problem solver, push beyond their comfort zone, and compete with confidence and enthusiasm.
Oklahoma Excel Volleyball Club is a family atmosphere. Our older athletes work with and get to know our younger athletes and our teams support and cheer for each other whenever they can. We host club events and activities throughout the season that give all of our athletes and families the chance to get to know each other better and grow as a family.
Excel has no aspirations of growing into a sizable club with numerous teams at each age group. Limiting the number of Excel teams allows us to focus our organizational abilities and maintain our attention to detail. Excel can then ensure that every team has extraordinary coaches. We are very fortunate to have an outstanding group of coaches upon whom our athletes can rely on for instruction, guidance, and support.

Practices
Practices will be held at Moore Public Schools. Tentative Days of Practice are Sundays, Monday, and Wednesday. Please notify us of any major conflicts or practice time request.
Date To Begin Practices: November 16th or 22nd
Parent Volunteer Opportunities:
Team Representative
1. Serve as a liaison between coach and parents to communicate team information.
2. Research and negotiate hotel reservations for tournaments as soon as schedule is known.
3. Communicate with parents, coach, and director regarding hotel name, location, phone number, price, dates, directions, and reservation deadline. (group code)
4. Coordinate parents to provide (healthy) food and drinks to the team at tournament.
5. If a team is interested in fundraising, help coordinate fundraising efforts with the parents and the players.
6. Help coordinate team events/meals for travel tournaments. (Pick locations, set up reservations, etc.)
Team Photographer
- Take photos of the team during the season: share with the team and forward to the club director for website use.
- Record all tournament games for use of recruiting and team film sessions.

Player and Parent Commitment contract Form:
1. I agree to be a part of Oklahoma Excel Volleyball Club for the entire 2015-2016 season participating in all scheduled practices, games, and tournaments as instructed.
2. As an Excel player I commit 100% to be on time for all events including practices, tournaments, clinics, etc.
3. I understand that missing practices will directly affect the amount of time I play in the following tournament.
4. I understand that in order to perform at my peak and give 100% effort and positive attitude it is necessary to get plenty of sleep and eat healthy especially before or during tournaments and I agree that I will abide by this so as not to let my teammates down.
5. I agree to respect and support my teammates and keep all outside problems or negative opinions to myself.
6. I understand that Excel Volleyball considers having a positive attitude, working hard, and listening to be the most important factors to becoming a better volleyball player and I agree to adopt these principals as my own.
7. I will report any violations of team rules immediately to my coach.
8. I understand my manners and actions represent the entire Excel Volleyball organization.
9. I will not smoke, drink alcoholic beverages, use foul language, and poor sportsmanship, break curfew, steal, fight, lie, cheat, disrespect my coach or any detrimental action and understand that the breaking of this contract will result in dismissal of the club.
10. I understand that if I have not made the scheduled monthly payment I will not be allowed to participate in practice until I honor my financial commitment.
11. We authorize Excel VBC to use my picture on the club website, flyers brochures, etc.
