Closings, Delays, and Snow Days

Kidz Korner will do its best to be open on all days. We will take care of the children on snow delays as well as days when school is canceled. If school is canceled, there is an additional charge ($40) for the day. If your child is enrolled in the Kindergarten Enrichment program, it is $20 for the day.

If you drop your child between 6:30 am and 7 am, you may want to check the Kidz Korner classroom phone number at 412-486-0280 to be sure someone has arrived at the church.

When school is delayed we take the kids to school on the delayed schedule.

  1. For everyone who comes to Before School sessions you are covered. You do not need to notify us…just come when you can!
  1. For those children who do not normally come to Before School Care please note the following procedures:
  1. If you child attends Hosack or Peebles Elementary School please call the NA bus transportation (412-369-5500) and let them know that he/she will be riding the bus to school from St. Paul’s to on snow delay days. (The buses have assigned seats and they like to know who is on the bus. Remind them that your child rides that bus to St. Paul’s after school. It will help let them know that there’s probably a seat for him/her!)
  1. If your child attends McIntyre Elementary School please call the Kidz Korner phone 412-334-8193 and let Ashley know that they are coming. We will make arrangements for them to get to school on our bus.
  1. If your child attends Shaler’s Burchfield or Rogers Elementary, please call the Kidz Korner phone 412-334-8193 and let Ashley know that they are coming. We will make arrangements for them to get to school on our bus.
  1. If your child goes to Wyland Elementary please call the Kidz Korner phone 412-334-8193 and let Ashley know that they are coming. We will make arrangements for them to get to school on our bus.

If the snow develops in the afternoon and the pick-up times are affected, please know that we will stay with your child(ren) until you arrive! As soon as possible, please let us know you are going to be late. Call the Kidz Korner phone 412-334-8193 and/or the Kidz Korner Classroom phone at 412-486-0280 so we can assure your child that he/she will be picked up, just later than usual. The late fee is waived on snowy, treacherous nights…just get here in one piece!

As an added feature for your convenience, our website, will list weather information. Kidz Korner will try to always be open! In the event that there is severeweatherand3 of our 4 districts are closed, we will be closed. Be sure to sign up for Remind to get any notifications sent by Ashley.
