The Business Administration A.S. curriculum is designed for students planning to transfer to upper division colleges in preparation for careers in marketing, sales, finance, management, international business, accounting, and related business fields. Students may also choose electives to qualify for immediate entry into training programs in government, business, and industry. The curriculum is sufficiently broad to provide the student with adequate studies in humanities and social science.

MINIMUM DEGREE REQUIREMENTS:

  1. A minimum of 61 credit hours.
  2. English: a minimum of 6 credit hours, to include ENG101 and ENG102.
  3. Humanities: a minimum of 3 credit hours, to include COM101.
  4. Business: a minimum of 18 credit hours, to include BUS101, BUS210, BUS 250, BUS260, BUS261, and 3 credit hours of Business Elective (Any Business, Accounting, Computer Science course).
  5. Computer Science: minimum of 3 credit hours, to include CSC102.
  6. Accounting: a minimum of 8 credit hours, to include ACC101 and ACC151.
  7. Social Science: a minimum of 9 credit hours, to include ECO101 and ECO102 and a 3 credit hour course from one of the other Social Science areas: Anthropology, Geography, Government, History *, Psychology and Sociology.
  8. Mathematics/Science: a minimum of 11 credits hours, to include MAT161, MAT215 or MAT224, and a science course with lab. (Most upper division colleges look for transfer students to have at least one statistics (MAT161) and one calculus (MAT216 or MAT224) course.
  9. Other: Free elective, a minimum of 3 credit hours.
