MINUTES OF THE PARISH COUNCIL MEETING HELD AT ROSSINGTON MEMORIAL HALL, ROSSINGTON AT 7.00 pm on TUESDAY 9JUNE 2015

4346. WELCOME AND INTRODUCTION
Cllr B Johnson welcomed everyone to the meeting and sent best wishes for a speedy recovery to Cllr R Cooper-Holmes.
4347.PUBLIC PARTICIPATION
QUESTION: Concerns were raised about the excessive parking by the police private vehicles on Station Road, Kestrel Drive, Allerby Drive and New Road
ANSWER: The Clerk to write to the Police Commissioner and the Highways Department highlighting the issue and raising the question of double yellow lines in certain areas and the use of the park and ride for the police private cars.
QUESTION: Did the Parish Council get any response from the letter sent inviting the police to parish meetings.
ANSWER:They responded saying they were very busy and that could maybe send a PCSO. The Clerk to write to MP Caroline Flint. Ward Cllr Rachel Blake to raise the issue at a meeting with the Chief Inspector.
QUESTION: Concerns were raised about the drainage relating to the new housing development.
ANSWER: The Parish to keep this on the agenda.
QUESTION: When is the link Road opening?
ANSWER: See appendix one
4348.ANNOUNCEMENTS
Ward Cllrs J Cooke and Rachel Blake announced that they are arranging an informal meeting with RecyCoal re the coal dust and with Bowlands re waste material.
Cllr B Johnson announced he was not going to accept the Chair’s allowance and asked for suggestions for worthy causes to donate to.
4349. APOLOGIES FOR ABSENCE
RESOLVED to note apologies were received from CllrsR Cooper-Holmes, D Harper and A Harper.
4350.DECLARATIONS OF PERSON AND PREJUDICIAL INTEREST
RESOLVED to note that Cllrs W Reynolds and J Rowland-Johnson declared an interest in the Bankwood Allotments as allotment holders. Cllr J Rowland-Johnson declared an interest as she is related to Lynn Docherty, whose post is funded by the Parish Council.
