Classroom Policies-Brian Barazzuol
Entering the Class:
1) The daily agenda and homework assignments will be written on my Edublog site

2) Looking at the board or projector screen for instructions regarding any classroom warm-ups or other directions.

3) If a homework assignment is due, it is to be handed in at the beginning of class.

During Class:

1) Students must stay in their assigned seats during class unless given permission by the teacher to switch locations.
2) Students should keep in mind that their classes have many students in them therefore they should raise their hands when they would like to speak in order to maintain class harmony and fairness. Exceptions apply for certain activities at the discretion of the teacher.
3) Be sure to come to class prepared and ready to learn (paper, writing utensils, charged tablets etc.)
4) CELL PHONES: students can have their phones on them, but if they are using the devices while learning is supposed to take part, the student will be warned and if the issue continues to arise, the phone will be removed for the remainder of the class.
5) Desktops should be clear of backpacks/purses. Backpacks/purses should be placed on the floor or back of the chair during class.
Leaving Class:
1) Please dispose of your garbage and recyclable goods.
2) When exiting your desk, please push in your chair.
Bathroom Privileges:
1) Students are to use the bathroom facilities/obtain a drink of water before entering the classroom between their class periods.
2) If an emergency arises during class and a student needs to use the restroom he/she is to ask the teacher for permission to exit the class. Only one student is allowed out of the classroom at a time.
3) If a pattern develops, the student will be spoken to in order to address the situation.

Lateness:
1) Students must be over the classroom threshold (doorway) by the time the bell rings in order to be considered on time for class.
2) Late assignments will result in both parent and counsellor contact by email/phone
Absentee Make-up Assignments and Tests:
1) Students are responsible for obtaining any missed work by contacting their peers, teacher or viewing the portal before they return to school.
2) Classroom instruction should not be interrupted in order to obtain missing assignments. Assignments should be obtained before or after school, between class periods, flex or lunch.
