Classroom Job Descriptions

General Manager - The General Manager (GM) is responsible and accountable for all classroom activities, and assumes complete responsibility for the class, students as necessary. The GM works to ensure that all activities are consistent with and supportive of the TRIBES agreements. The GM ensures all classmates are performing their job responsibilities and meeting expectations in all areas of their job descriptions. Must be organized and provide leadership for the class through good communications, good business relationships, and good public relations. Must be able to do absent employees job.

Assistant Manager- Assists the manager in all responsibilities when the GM is unavailable.

Chief Information Officer (news reporter)-

The CIO is responsible to provide information to the class once they become available, report all news as soon as notified.

Distribution Manager - is responsible for distribution of all information for all students..

Administrative Assistant -Performs administrative and office support activities for multiple supervisors. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, filing, delivering notes, and assisting staff in a variety of activities. Must have strong communication skills.

Data Analyst (attendance clerk)

Responsible for taking attendance on a daily basis, checking excuse notes for all tardy students. Notifying teacher if there are more then 3 unexcused reason for being tardy.

Safety Officer – responsible for checking all students for violations in uniform, ID wear, behavior, cell phone use, gum chewing. All school violations and TRIBES agreements. Safety officer, along with investigator will submit a written report of violation.

Investigator – the investigator assists the safety officer in witnessing any violation. The investigator investigates if there is cause for consequences and issues along with the safety officer a consequence for the violation committed.

Judge- Consequence Tracker- Will decide consequence on violation. (reflection, detention, referral to office), responsible to ensure consequence of a violation is completed.

Systems engineer – is responsible for all technology such as turning on and off the lights, he Smart board, computers, television, radio, CD player and AC.

Inventory clerk- responsible for checking in all forms due.

Event Coordinator and planner – is responsible for organizing and coordinating all of the activities in the class.

Environmental technician – is responsible for recycling products and reminding other students where to recycle their products.

Public Relations Manager – is responsible for maintaining a class that works well together and will mediate any problems that may arise.

Custodian – Is responsible for a clean environment in the classroom. Sweeping, washing and wiping when necessary.

Custodian assistant – is responsible for the furniture in class. Making sure the chairs and tables are clean and in order before and after class is over.

Class Ambassador – class ambassador is responsible in assisting any new student in class. Providing them information needed to become comfortable with daily routines that may occur in class.

Horticultural specialist- Feeds fish and waters plants at the last period of the day, at the end of the period.

Historian- Keeps a daily record of events that happen in the period for the day. This will be used for students who are absent. Can also use class ipad to take photos.

Time keeper – Turns timer off and reminds class that there is 10 minutes left and to begin reflection and completing essential question and turning any class work into turn in box.

Messenger- Delivers notes, items, attendance to other classrooms for office.

Journal Monitor – Makes sure every student completes journal for the day. Dismisses class once all turned in. Brings Journal box next to turn in box prior to the end of class.

Material Supervisor- will make sure all materials, pencils, scissors, etc. are returned at the end of the period. Notify GM if item is missing.

Circulation Manager- delivers daily newspaper to each table. (only on first period of the day). On other days, makes sure each table has it stacked and folded correctly once used.
