Classroom Happenings:
Welcome to the Preschool News. This newsletter is to let you, the parents, know what we are doing in the classroom on a weekly basis. You will also find information like reminders and updates in the calendar. There will be some neat changes this year as I am creating a wonderful preschool webpage via the USD #244 website. Once up and running, I will be posting not only important information happening in preschool but also the weekly newsletters. I will let you all know as soon as it is complete.
The students have been working very hard to adjust to their new surroundings. I am pleased to see how well they all are fitting into our class!!
This weekthe class read lots of different books based on classroom actions. We discussed the rules and how we should act in Preschool. We will continue to work on these rules throughout the year!
We are still working on our social skills in class but I am pleased to see how well mannered all the students are. They are very good at saying please and thank you. Thank you all very much for raising such well mannered children!!
This week also brought some new adventures to some of the students as they experienced their first Fire Drill and Tornado Drill. We will also be practicing our Intruder Drill and Wolf Creek evaluation within the next month!
Looking Ahead:
***There is NO SCHOOLonMonday September 5, 2016 due to Labor Day. I hope you all enjoy the 3 day weekend!!
***Show and Tell is every Friday, or the last day of the week. The students may bring whatever they like. When we start our letters, I will be asking the students to bring in a toy that begins with our Letter of the Week.
*** PE is on Mondays and Wednesdays. The students need to wear tennis shoes on those days. Also if our little girls wear skirts, please make sure they have shorts on underneath.
I am so pleased that each of your children are in my room this year. I know this year will be awesome!!!
