Location: Smallwood Livery Centre is situated 1 mile off the A534 approx 4 miles from Sandbach and 3 miles from Congleton. If accessing from Junction 17 of the M6 head east on the A534 towards Congleton. Go straight over traffic lights where A534 crosses A50. Approx 1 mile after lights take right turn signposted Smallwood & Brookhouse Green (also PC sign). Keep on this lane for approx 1 mile and look out for box park signs.

CLASS 1 12 years and under (P.C Level 3) – PC Members only
Height of fences: 2’9” approx – 85cms (XC & SJ)
“L” options will not incur any penalties in Class 1
(Separate section for 10 & unders).
CLASS 2 Intermediate, (P.C Level 3) – PC Members.
Height of fences: 2’9”approx – 85cms (XC & SJ)
CLASS 3 Intermediate – Non PC Members of any age
Fences approx 2’9” – 85cms (XC & SJ)
CLASS 4 Open, (P.C Level 4) – PC Members of any age & Non PC members
Fences between 3’ and 3’3”- 90cms-1 metre (XC & SJ)
Non PC Members must abide by 2010 Pony Club Eventing Rules and must have
3rd party liability insurance cover. Body protectors must be worn during XC phase.
Dressage Tests: Class 1 - The Pony Club Novice Eventing Test 2006
Classes 2 & 3 – The Pony Club Intermediate Eventing Test 2009
Class 4 – The Pony Club Open Eventing Test 2010
NB. In accordance with the PC Eventing Rules for 2010, the XC Course in respect of “Open”
Class 4 will be timed.

Entry Fee for all classes: £40.00. (£34 CHNPC members)

OF ENTRY
1.  This O.D.E. will be run in accordance with the Pony Club Eventing Rules 2010 subject to
local conditions.
2.  Neither the Committee, nor the Sponsors, nor the Landowners, nor any person acting on their behalf
accepts any responsibility for loss, damage, accident or injury to horses or ponies, riders or any other
persons or property whatsoever.
3.  No practice over any part of the Course is allowed at any time from two weeks prior to, until after the
event. Failure to comply with this rule will result in the offending rider being barred from the event and
automatically forfeiting the entry fee if this has been paid.
4.  No horse may compete in more than one class.
5.  All entries from visiting PC branches must be countersigned by the DC or branch official.
6.  PC Competitors wishing to wear spurs must possess a spurs note to be presented to the tack
stewards on the day of the event. (B test holders exempt)
7.  All PC members’ hats must be tagged. All non-pc competitors must wear a protective hat to
the standards as required by the pony club hat rule 2010.
8.  Dogs must be kept on leads & no ponies/horses are allowed at the event unless competing.
9.  The cross country course will be open for inspection from 2.00pm Friday 30th April 2010.
10.  Times of competing will be posted on the Branch Website as soon as possible after the closing date
but no later than Monday 26th April 2010: www.cheshirehuntnorthpc.com
11.  Entries will be accepted in order of receipt.
12.  Although entries close on 19.4.10, some classes may become full well before the
closing date. Please enter early to avoid disappointment. A wait list will be held.
13.  After close of entries, no substitutions may be made without permission being obtained from your
branch District Commissioner and from the Organisers.
14.  No rider may enter more than 2 horses/ponies. If two entries are made in the same class the second
entry may be balloted out if the class is oversubscribed.
15.  No entry fee will be refunded after the close of entries. Prior to the closing date, refunds only
on presentation of a vets certificate. £10 will be retained for administration costs on ALL withdrawals.
16.  Age as on 1st January 2010 (Class 1 only). Classes and Awards subject to entries.
17.  Precise distances of the Cross Country Courses will not be announced prior to the Event.
18.  The Organisers reserve the right to alter the Schedule at any time prior to the Event.
19.  If Air vests are worn, they MUST be over a normal body protector. In the case of a fall, they must
be fully deflated or removed before continuing. If an Exo BodyCage is worn, the secretary MUST be
informed and a key left to be given to the medical team.
20.  CANCELLATION – The safety of riders and horses is of paramount importance to us. However, it
is only under extreme conditions that the event will be cancelled such as waterlogged or too hard ground.
If the event is cancelled, £10 from each entry fee will be retained to cover costs incurred
