CLASS TITLE:NETWORK SYSTEMS ANALYST - SES

This is technical work assisting in the planning, designing, monitoring, supporting, and integrating enterprise network systems.

EXAMPLES OF WORK PERFORMED:

  • Assists other network personnel in the design and configuration of networks/enterprise (large multi-tasked) systems.
  • Assists in consulting with users and conducting information assessments to determine needs and to define network solutions to meet user requirements.
  • Assists in the design and configuration of an enterprise environment with appropriate hardware, operating systems software, applications software, and communications components to support business/office requirements.
  • Assists in conducting research and development in network systems and related technologies.
  • Maintains up-to-date documentation for network software and operational procedures.
  • Assists in the development of hardware configuration plans for enterprise network systems.
  • Assists in the evaluation and selection of enterprise network software.
  • Analyzes and resolves network hardware, software and communications problems using diagnostic software and/or technical troubleshooting processes.
  • Monitors the enterprise network hardware to ensure it is properly maintained.
  • Performs related work as required.

  • Ability to monitor and resolve problems with enterprise computer systems components.
  • Ability to identify and define enterprise network needs.
