Dear Parents,

Month of October began with a very positive cue of charity. We celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with the noble cause of blood donation camp arranged in the school campus. Children were taught the importance of how one unit of blood can save four lives.

Navratris are always special in Guajrat as people play Garbaras during nine days. We held the competition in school to conserve our tradition which was thoroughly enjoyed by one and all.

Children were taken to Gujarat Samachar to know the process of printing newspaper. They learnt how many departments are there and how many copies are published in a day. Excursion of the month was connected with the in-house visit of reporters from Zee news and Sandesh channels. Children learnt how the news is generated.

In academics also, they enthusiastically how keen interest to learn new concepts.

English lessons taught them language techniques like simile and personification where they loved to compare objects.

Computation is always cherished by 4th graders. They had real fun learning conversion of units of lengths, perimeter and had an introduction to area.

India has a rich culture from food to clothes and from fabric to textile. Children learnt the various types of food and clothes and how to help craftspeople conserve them. Later they learnt techniques to conserve our green cover, the forests.

Social science lessons were connected with science lessons as they learnt the necessity of water, its conservation and purification. And for the water cycle to be a smooth flow ,forests are very important.

Our country has rich values and culture. We Indians consider our parents as god. Hindi lessons taught them the importance of the relation of father and son.

Computer classes are keeping them updated and well equipped with the use of internet.

Music, the melody of life, heals the world with its magical notes. Children learnt the song ‘Mann ussikikaroprarthana’. Dance classes were vibrant as usual as they learnt the basic steps on counting.

In drama & speech, they learnt the importance of emotions in our life. In karate classes, they learnt self defence and usage of brakes in skating classes.

The month is being wrapped up with the excitement of the most favourite festival, the festival of lights, ‘Diwali’.
