The April 18, 2017 Council Meeting was called to order by Mayor Gordon Johnson at 7:00 p.m. in the Rushford Village Council Chambers. Council members present, Dennis Overland, Mike Ebner, Chad Rasmussen;Public Works Supervisor Travis Scheck,Planning-Zoning Administrator Jon Pettit,Treasurer Judy Graham and Clerk Mary Miner. Absent:Richard Smith, City Attorney Thomas Manion

- MiEnergy paid off their portion of the Cooperative Way assessment of $68,023.38.
1) PLANNING / ZONING–Pettit: New Permits /inquiries/updates;
- New Permits:1225Douglas Fowler-Re-shingle garage roof
- Pettit had an inquiry from a resident on Gilbertson Rd about erosion. Pettit will look into the situation
- Pettit noticed work being done at parcel R05.0348.000 on Hwy 16 E. No permit has been obtained
2) ROADS/WATER/SEWER:
- 7:05 pm Rock Bids: One (1) bid was received this year. Bruening Rock Products, INC. Class 2 ¾” Road Rock - $7.41 per ton, $8.43 per ton delivered and spread, $10.00 per yard or $11.38 delivered and spread. Winter Rock - $8.39 per ton, $14.95 per ton delivered and spread - $11.33 per yard or $20.18 delivered and spread. Rip Rap from Peterson Quarry - $11.88 per ton, $17.85 per ton delivered and spread, $14.85 per yard or $21.79 delivered and spread. Motion made to accept Bruening Rock Products, Inc bid Motion by Rasmessen, 2nd by Ebner. Carried
- Scheck presented the Council with a quote for a 2017 MidsotaTB20 Heavy Duty Tilt Deck Equipment Trailer from Frenchville Trailer Sales, LLC in Ettrick WI. It is rated for 15400 GVWRwith a16 foot tilt and 4 foot stationary bed. This will replace the current CRV flatbed trailer that is no longer large enough to transport the track loader. Quoted price $6593.75 w/tax. Motion was made to accept this quote

- 12 new outside water meter readers have been purchased and are being installed
3) OTHER:
- Brian Jerviss from AcenTekbrought information to the office regarding where AcenTeck will be digging in the CRV right of way to put in Fiber Optic cable. CRV maintenance personnel will assist AcenTeck with this.
- Fillmore County Sheriff Kaase spoke to the Council regarding police coverage for CRV. Kaase feels the best option for CRV and Peterson, because they are so close to Rushford, is to come to an agreement with Rushford for Police coverage. Police Chief Adam Eide shared that when he took this position his goal was to have open communication between the three Cities. It was suggested a committee be formed for each City that could include 2 Council Members, City Clerks for Peterson and CRV, Police Chief Adam Eide and Sheriff Kaase. The third week in May was suggested as the timeframe for the first meeting.
