  1. Josie Reinhardt room the rate will be changing to $50.00 for rental fee for resident and $100.00 for non-resident. A new ordinance will be on the next meeting.
  2. City Attorney Compensation package was discussed no motion taken.
  3. Police – Dispatch contract were discussed. We will have full 3 readings for these. Will be passed on the 12th of February.

Recreation Board: / Meeting on January 14 at 7:00 p.m. discussed ball sign ups so far 135 kids have sign up, will be leaving registration open until February 27, 2015 at 4:00 PM.
Safety: / Scheduled a 6:15 pm meeting for February 12, 2014.

4. Police Dept:
Resignation from Part-Time Dispatcher Wendy Walters effective January 22, 2015.
City Administrator / TEMPORARY UTILITY EASEMENT:
Northwest Water and Sewer has requested from the City a temporary 50 foot easement in order to install and/or replace a waterline and/or sewer line as well as an access entry in the City of Northwood.
The purpose of this temporary easement is the installation of a sewer line adjacent to Wise Street in the City of Northwood as shown as the southerly portion of the parcel designated as M50-812-34000000-1000 on Wood County Auditor’s real estate records.
After consulting with the city attorney, I recommend a motion allowing the City Administrator to sign the necessary paperwork executing this easement.
A map showing the approximate location of the easement is attached.

ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT:
Economic Development Director Vaculik and I have been meeting with Glenn Grisdale of Reveille Planning and Economic Development is the hope of developing some new strategies for economic development within the city.
I would like to schedule an Economic Development Committee meeting before the February 12th council meeting to review some of these ideas and to brief the sub-committee on current economic activities within the City.

City Engineer: / Harding and East Broadway have been paved in the spring there will need to be some touch ups on these streets. Greenway Estates detention pond we are waiting on a belt and gages to finish this project up.
New Business: / Mayor wants Committee of the Whole notice of cancellation sent out.
Also Mayor reminded Council to pick new presidents for Committee’s as we have them for the new year.

Persons Appearing Before Mayor and Council: / Mathew Berry, Curtice Road came to address Mayor and Council about his parking issue he is having with the City to be able to park his work vehicle on his property.
Council Members will have a Safety Meeting on February 12, at 6:15 to see if they can help resolve this issue.
