ABGA SANCTIONED OPEN BOER GOAT SHOW

April2-3, 2011

General Rules:

The show chairman and committee reserve the final and absolute right to interpret these rules, settle and determine all matters, questions and differences arising from or connected to the Cedar City Classic Boer Goat Show. Any exhibitor who violates the rules will forfeit all privileges and be subject to such penalties as the committee may order.

This competition is open to all goats registered with the ABGA, no other association papers will be accepted, according to ABGA rules in effect as of March 1, 2011. All goats three months or older must be registered with ABGA. Animals under three months must have a stamped duplicate or faxed application stamped by the ABGA with the date received. There is no limit to the number of animals an exhibitor may enter in the show. All registration certificates at check-in must be original, no copies will be accepted….

All entries must be postmarked by Mar 20 or emailed by Mar 26, 2011. The entry fee is $20 per goat per show or $50 per goat for all three shows. No pen charge for each pen used;however pens are limited so we ask that you pen at least 2 animals per pen if possible. Bedding (shavings) will be available for $5/per bag at the show or you may bring your own. No straw/hay allowed as bedding. Late entries will be accepted with an additional $15 per goat late fee.

All animals will show by age according to their registration certificate. Base date for age computation will beApril 2, 2011. The show committee reserves the right to combine or split classes as needed.

Health Requirements: An official certificate of veterinary inspection, valid within 30 days of the show must accompany the animals.

Liability: The exhibitor is liable for any damages his/her goat may incur and also for the safety of his/her goats. The Cedar City Classic assumes no responsibility or liability for any damages. If any goat is a threat to the public the animal will be removed from the show. Poor sportsmanship (as determined by the show committee) will not be tolerated. The judge’s decision is final and should be respected….

Saturday, April 3,2011 Show 2 at 2 p.m or following show 1– Judge Chris Shaffett

Sunday, April 3, 2011 Show 3 at 9 a.m. – Judge Terry Taylor

Check-in: 2:00 p.m.till8:00 p.m. on Friday April 1, 2011

GOATS MUST BE IN THE BARN BY 8:00 P.M.
