£20,202 pro rata, actual £15,600, after probation = £16,380

30 hours per week over 4 days

Upto 33 days pro rata {including public holidays)

Citizens Advice Bedford is looking for a highly motivated person possessing drive and enthusiasm. Adept at handling pressure with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills to provide administrative support for the organisation.
The Administrator role will include assistance to the CEO and SMT, telephone answering, inputting financial data and processing expenses & invoices. Basic HR support including calculating staff leave entitlement. Daily building and IT point of contact, stationary orders and equipment.
You will need to effectively demonstrate that you can operate in a fast paced environment, understand the administrative and digital landscape, take ownership of problems and think on your feet.
We expect candidates to have an administration background, be results driven and from research have a basic knowledge of Citizens Advice Bedford and the services provided. There will be an assessment of basic admin tasks at interview.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. General clerical support and provide assistance to theCEO & SMT
  1. This will include but not limitedto:

a)Inputting financial data, managing expenseaccount

b)Processing salaries, invoices bankreconciliation

c)Provide admin support to staff joining andleaving

d)When required, liaise with IT support & buildinglandlord

e)Producing reports from the computer database andspreadsheets

f)Ensure adequate stocks of stationary andconsumables

g)Answering the telephone and takingmessages

h)Accurate filing, both electronically &paper

i)Administering the hiring out ofrooms

j)Dealing with incoming and outgoingpost

k)Keeping volunteer database up todate

  1. UsingInformationTechnologyandequipmentwhererelevant{e.g.Microsoft Office software, databases, spreadsheets, internet, fax machine, photocopier)
  1. HavingaresponsibilitytoupholdtheAimsandPrinciplesoftheCABservice and its Equal OpportunitiesPolicy
