Citikonto Plus from Citibank free of charge

PRAGUE –Citibankin the Czech Republic is expanding its offeringto retail clients with a new package of products and services called Citikonto Plus. This highly attractive package allows clients to choose any combination of the bank’s services with options of current, savings and investments accounts according to individual needs. Together with the account, clients will get a debit card, internet, telephone and mobile banking service free of charge. Another benefit of the new Citikonto Plus is also the possibility of fourfree monthly withdrawals from any ATM in the CzechRepublic.

“If a client uses the Citikonto Plus package actively, there are no fees charged for its maintenance. In order to qualify, either minimum monthly incoming transactions of CZK 25000 are required, or the client must have at least CZK 250000 average monthly account balance in all accounts within the Citikonto Plus,” says Petr Řehák, Retail Bank Head at Citibank. „In case the client is not an active user of Citikonto Plus, he will be charged CZK 169 for its maintenance per month. However the first three months from signing the contract are free of charge for everybody,” adds Řehák.

An interesting benefit of Citikonto Plus is a possibility to open a separate package also for relatives of the account owner free of charge. Thus, parents can control their children’s finances as well as spouses can maintain their finances together without having a common bank account.

All Citikonto Plus clients can also use discounts within the CitiClub program offering up to 25% discounts at over 200 merchants and service providers in the Czech Republic. “Currently the Citikonto Plus can be opened at Citibank’s branches. Within the next months the product will also be offered through other distribution channels, adds Řehák.

Citikonto Plus Summary:

  • Offer of a current, saving and investments account.
  • Account maintenance free of charge if incoming transactions are at least CZK 25000 (except for transactions between own Citibank accounts); or an average monthly account balance in all accounts within the Citikonto Plus is at least CZK 250000
