Shout out to artist- Natalie Craig for her design work! Natalie was one of the artists that submitted a t-shirt design for our CASCADE INNOVATORS. Her design was chosen. The t-shirts will be worn at competition. Congrats Natalie on your awesome design work and GO CASCADE INNOVATORS as you represent our school district.

ASB CARDS:ASB cardsare $40 each and entitle the student to free admission to all home athletic events during the regular season, discounts at high school dances, and reduced rates on the yearbook. Your ASB card must be presented at all events. Students who participate in CHS Athletics and Clubs are required to purchase an ASB card. Stop by the CHS office to purchase your ASB Card today.

SPEECH & DEBATE: Our first tournament is November 18th in Wenatchee. We'll be practicing in Mr. Allen's room after school until 5pm on Wednesday, November 1st.

ASVAB TESTING for JUNIORS: This Friday, November 3rd, we are going to be administering the ASVAB to all juniors. We will begin at 8 am sharp. If last name begins with A-F you will be in Mrs. Hesse’s room. If last name begins with G-M you will be in Mr. Davies’ room. If last name begins with N-Z you will be in Ms. Downs’ room. The ASVAB is an assessment that measures abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success. It will assist in helping you plan for the future. If you are not a junior, but are interested in taking the ASVAB please see Mrs. Kelly.

Congratulations to our CHS Cross Country athletes ~ Landon Davies, Caleb Payne and Zoe McDevitt, who will be competing at the WIAA State Cross Country Meet this coming Saturday, November 4th in Pasco. Landon Davies placed 2nd in the boys race - he had the lead through the 2nd half of the race, but was passed in a sprint to the finish; his time was a blazing fast 17:08 over the 5k (3.1 mile) course, a PR by over a minute!

Caleb Payne placed 12th with a time of 18:00, a PR by 50 seconds; and Zoe McDevitt placed 6th in the girls’ race with a time of 20:49, a PR by 12 seconds. Be sure to congratulate them if you see them in the halls, and wish them luck at state!

Our Cascade High School Actors' GuildFall play:"The Foreigner" runs this Friday and Saturday at 7 pmin the auditorium! See posters or the Cascade Website for details. Don't miss seniors Chris Ortiz, Kassidy Wisemore and Jason Stine!Tickets are available at the door: $10 for adults and students w/o ASB Card; $5 for seniors and students with an ASB card. We would love to see our audiences full each night with Cascade School District staff, faculty, and students!

SENIOR SLIDE SHOW DEADLINES: Senior slideshow pictures are due to Mrs. Murphy by November 15th. Turn in a baby, youth and senior picture to Mrs. Murphy in Room 207 or email them to
SENIOR PICTURE for YEARBOOK:Senior Pictures for the yearbook are due Monday, November 20th. Plan on having your picture taken and turned in by that day. Send in the picture digitally, at least 2 megapixels in size, to Mrs. Hesse. NO PHONE PICTURES!!!!!!!!!! (It makes them too small.)
Requirements:
Picture must be waist high or closer
Eyes must be visible (NO SUNGLASSES)
Type up your quote, 115 characters or less, in English (with your name and who the quote is attributed to) and turn in at the same time as your picture.
HAVE YOUR SENIOR PICTURES TAKEN FOR THE LOW PRICE OF $50 ~ Package includes six 5x7 prints with your choice of 3 outfit changes. If you want more photos bring a thumb drive, you’ll get all your photos at no extra charge. Interested? Contact Mrs. Murphy ASAP.

ATTENTION STUDENTS 9-12TH GRADES:If you want to attend the WVC College & Career Expo this coming Monday, November 6th, you need to pick up a planned field trip packet in the Career Center ASAP. The first 45 students who turn in completed forms will reserve their seats on the bus; We are only taking one bus, and spots will fill quickly. Please see Mrs. Schmitten with any questions!

If you are having trouble securing a substitute through AESOP, feel free to stop by my desk and I will assist you.
