Chronology of the events in Mr Goto incident
15 September 2014 5pm Professor Knoefel conducted medical check with Mr Goto and explained that he decided to do an operation as planned and it would take 2-3 hours.
16 September 2014 11am Ms Goto arrived at the hospital. The operation started from 8:30am.
16pm Ms Goto asked Dr Ansenendt why it took longer than planned and know any problem. He replied that 3 hours is on average and it may take longer.
17pm Dr Ansenendt checked the situation over the phone. Prof. Knoefel contacted her and said “it was found that there was problem behind the chest.
14:30pm It was informed that it is serious situation. There is a blood vessel which was not found in CT. This vein was cut thus that lead to massive breeding. When she asked Prof. Knoefel if he can recover from it, he replied that he hope much, he is healthy and young.
16:30pm She asked at the reception where he is, the receptionist relied that he is in ICU.
20:30pm Prof. Knoefel called her to explain that the operation completed and he became a little better and his internal organ is active however the heart’s moving is weaker. Therefore the machine supports his heart.
After his call, she went to ICU however she could not find him.

12:30pm Dr Uchida and Ms Goto went to ICU. The situation was explained by the two doctors (one attended the operation and the other is the vein specialist). According to Dr Uchida (who explained later on 5 November), there was a difference of the vein written in the operation report and the actually ripped vein. They further explained that his brain was swollen due to 3 litter blood transfusion.

Morning Ms Goto was informed by a lady doctor that the result of CT was very bad.
