Minutes of the Third Meeting, Tuesday March 15, 2016
Present: Fr.Saraphim, Fr. Tadros, Myriam G, Sherry A, Noha A, Lucy N, Mariam M, Tina M, Mariam Y, Neveen A, Nagy B, Marlina F.
Absent: Dr. Adel H, Germine D, Soheir A, Joseph M, Nevine R, Michael M, George A.
1. Welcome the new members: Marlina and Lucy
2. Fr Saraphim indicated 2 points:
· Assurance of well-trained servants to deliver the message
· Transmitting of biblical position in sensitive issues to school through our children may cause some problems, such as dealing with Homo- sexuality.
3. Discussed the outcome/feedback when David Ghattas presented a topic for grade 6.
4. We may separate boys and girls when discussing certain issues.
5. Children may surprise the speaker by asking questions above the average knowledge of the age group. Are we ready for it? Deal with it wisely and give answer separately to the child.
6. We may video or audio tape the lectures. Notes could be taken.
7. Summary of activities since last meeting. Briefing to 4 Sunday school leaders, Manal, Hany, Samir and Mervat.
8. Waiting for Feedback from Sunday school group leaders on implementation (who will present)
9. New website page, review and comments
· Change of the title content, position and font.
· Replace sexuality by purity.
· Try to separate what is for children from what is for parents
· More comments to come from all members
10. Parents meeting for elementary children will take place on Friday April 15 at 7:30 pm. Talaat will prepare:
· A draft notification letter for review by the committee. Distribution via Sunday school classes, further announcement and bulletin board.
· Draft content of the presentation to be reviewed by Fr Tadros.
11. Training courses(Sexual development) proposed by Myriam G. will be announced in the servants meeting who is interesting to take the course. Tina and Mariam Y. will help in preparing the content.
12. Follow up on documents, material, books, videos, sermons, (going on research, Sherry, Mariam M.)
13. Promoting purity and chastity via bible verses (Display monitor and posters in the new building or other means)
14. Presenting the strategy and structure to Anba Eklemandos. Not discussed.
15. Status on outstanding items: Programs for grade 7 &8 due to arrive by the end of March. Purity Book from SUS Copts is under development, no date yet.
