Christian Community Schools Dress Code
GENERAL ATTIRE
Christian Community Schools has a standardized dress code. School uniforms can be purchased at any store that provides the appropriate items. Local merchants such as Target, Wal-Mart, Old Navy, Sears, and JC Penney will carry uniform basics. Online stores such as Lands End and French Toast also carry uniform needs and provide kick-backs to the school as well.
Pants or skirts: khaki, navy or black non-denim bottoms. Cargo pants and shorts are allowed. Pants with holes or tears are not acceptable. Pants must fit without being extremely tight. Walking shorts are acceptable attire. However, they must be in the accepted colors. Shorts should not be more than 1 inch above the knee. Capri’s are also acceptable.
Shirts: Solid color (no stripe, pattern, or design) polo shirts are required. Polo shirts may be short or long sleeved. Shirts with school logos will also be acceptable.Other than the school logo or designer’s logo (such as Izod), logos will not be accepted. Shirts do not need to be tucked in. However, they must be able to cover the entire back and not show skin or undergarments. If an undershirt is worn, it should be tucked in or be the same color as the polo. Shirts are to be buttoned appropriately so no cleavage is showing. God expects our attire to reflect Him, not ourselves. Sweaters and hoodies are acceptable to wear provided they are in one solid colors with no logos, patterns or designs, unless it is the school logo.
Hats are not allowed in the building and should be removed once the person enters the building.
Makeup is acceptable for girls, worn in a modes way and in good taste and not to draw attention. Visible tattoos are prohibited on either gender.
Jewelry worn during school should not be dangerous or distracting, but worn in a way to glorify God. Visible body piercing are prohibited, with the exception of girls’ ears. Girls may wear a single earring per ear, worn in the earlobe. Male students are not allowed to wear earrings or any other visible body piercings.
Hair shall be worn in a neat and well-groomed fashion. Dyed hair is allowed if the color is a natural color. Extreme hairstyles and colors should be avoided.
Shoes being worn to school should be comfortable Tennis shoes are acceptable.
