CHRIST THE KING SCHOOL FAIR

Sunday 9th November 2014

The tallies have been done and the class who collected the most gourmet goodies and won Fair Dollars is Room 7- congratulations!! A very committed bunch of parents in that class – thank you so much! We had hoped that every classroom could return close to 100% – and as you can see belowalmost half the classrooms returned over 100% (gourmet goodies per head):

Room 1 / 61% / Room8 / 113%
Room2 / 130% / Room9 / 96%
Room3 / 82% / Room10 / 87%
Room4 / 111% / Room11 / 52%
Room5 / 138% / Room12 / 95%
Room6 / 100% / Room13 / 62%
Room7 / 203%

So make a note in your diary -next on our collection list is Toiletries. These help stock hampers for raffle prizes, and the chocolate wheel. Send in whatever new toiletries that suit your budget eg soaps, shower gels, shampoos, conditioners, hair products, shaving related items, make up, toothpaste etc. Pop your donation into the Fair Collection Box in your child’s room. The final date for the collection of toiletries is Friday 19th September. As always the classroom that collects the most, in ratio to head count, will get fair dollars to spend on Fair Day!

RAFFLE TICKETS

We have been working hard to get some cool raffle prizes, and raffle tickets will be winging their way to a school bag near you!! One book of raffle tickets will be sent home to each family before the term holidays. We would be grateful if you could sell these tickets and return the money & raffle butts to the school office in the plastic bag that they were issued in. All these tickets need to be back to school by Friday 7th November at the latest. We would love if you are able to sell more tickets, and you can pick more up from the school office. Thank you.

HELP NEEDED

Thank you to everyone who has offered to help, but we still need more helpers. Here are jobs coming up:

  • Would you or your children like to help us by delivering leaflets?
  • Do you have a prominent fence for our fair signs?
  • We still need a few more people to help out on the first aid stall – nurses, doctors, first aiders….
  • We need some help in the carpark for an hour at the fair – making sure cars can leave the car park safely after mass, and that those coming in to the fair can access parking. We need just a couple of Dads from 11.30am until c12.30pm.
  • The Hot Food Stall needs some volunteers to help on the BBQs – the more volunteers we have the easier the load on everyone.

If you can help with any of these requests, please contact Triona

SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITY

We are still seeking donations of goods and services from businesses. A donation of a gift voucher or merchandise to our Silent Auction would be hugely appreciated. If you are able to help in any way, or if you know of a business might be keen to donate, please contact Becky Galland, o is co-ordinating all sponsorship requests. We will promote businesses who support the fair on our fair notices, fair day material and on social media.

ICE CREAM CONTAINERS

If you have any ice-cream containers please drop them into the office Fair Box – we just need a few more containers for the Sweets & Fudge Stall.
