Religious Formation- Busy, 7th Grade working with Welcome House, Seder meal project going, First Communion is going well and this year's Sacrament class will be finished on April 9. Many of the First Communion class are from CTK; however, there are other children from St. Bernard, St. John and St. Francis. The numbers are growing as new families are joining the parish.

Finance – Skipped report. Bob W. was not at the meeting.

  1. Parish Administration – Fr. Jared

2100 households are registered and maintaining membership. Attendance is down as the population is declining in the area. Touching on the finance report, the Christmas collection is down around $18000 and expenses are up. Budget adjustments are being done for the 2nd quarter. Tim Sullivan is working with contractors, esp. HVAC, and is working with building and grounds now. He is also working on the stained glass repairs in late spring and summer. The roof will be fixed then as well. Ron is working on keeping everything on budget. Three adults are on track to be baptized at Easter. Youth ministry just had 20 kids last Saturday for a get together. The group is forming well for grades 8-11. Mustard seed needs writers. Marie W. and Kathy P. are working on the Mustard Seed now and are approaching writers for the newsletter. Fr. Jared will also announce this at Mass. There may be another collection to make up for collection shortfalls in the future. Giving was up but some went to other collections for outside purposes.

  1. Old Business

On March 27, Alice Camille will be the Lenten Speaker from 7 to 8:30. The topic is “Humility in an Age of Power.”

The open parish council meeting is coming up. The meeting will be 5/7/2017 between the 9:15 and 11:30 mass and will be announced in the bulletin. The regular meeting on 5/8/2017 will not take place.

Jay brought up the online calendar on the web site needs an adjustment. Fr. Jared suggested a summary of upcoming events can be put back into the bulletin.

  1. New Business

Saturday, April 29, 9-3 The Spiritual Life Committee will present“Praying with the Green Saints”. It will be in the Parish Hall and will be advertised in the RI Catholic, Facebook, the web site, and bulletin.

There is a CFP in the parish that approached Jen M. for long range planning for folks in the parish for charitable giving information. There was discussion regarding of how to disseminate the information without endorsement.

The discussion included how to get parish financial information out to the parish. The idea of regular small bullet items on financial items was floated to the group. Fr. Jared will discuss these ideas Ed Carron for inclusion in the bulletin.
