Incidents may occur against a child, parent, visitor or member of staff.
All incidents will be recorded.
Valuing Diversity in Families/Ensuring consultation – we will consult with families using the setting and those within the local community, to ensure that we are meeting their needs. Information from the setting will be available in a variety of formats (i.e. parents will be verbally informed as well as through letters).
OurAdmissions procedures – we will have a fair admissions procedure ensuring that advertisements and publicity used are based upon the needs of the community. We will fulfil our commitment to race equality by collecting data on each child at admission and using this to inform how representative of the community the setting is. The Early Years Foundation Stage/Environment/Interactions/Resources – We will ensure that all children have access to all areas of the curriculum. We will plan activities and provide an environment in which all children will be considered, regardless of race, religion or ability. Thisapplies no matter what they think or say, what type of family they come from or what language they speak – all children will be given listened to and valued.
Monitoring/Evaluation – we will ensure that we review all our policies, procedures and practices and assess whether they promote racial equality in all that we do. We will evaluate the impact of all that we do on all children and families in the area and whether it might advantage or disadvantage families from particular racial groups.
