SCRIPTURE: Luke 1:5-25, 57-80; Matthew 3:1-12; Mark 1:2-8; Isaiah 40:3-4

AIM: As God’s called ones we, like John the Baptist, must all turn our hearts fully to the Lord and then help others turn to Him.

AIM: To impress the children that the Lord Jesus desires them to follow Him and He also wants to bring many more to follow Him, including our family, friends and neighbors.

MEMORY VERSES TO CHOOSE FROM: We can assign shorter portions for younger children. Ephesians 6:19 (And for me, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known in boldness the mystery of the gospel,); John 1:43b (The next day He wanted to go forth into Galilee, and He found Philip. AIM: To help the children see that the Lord is calling us to follow Him and be fishers of men, to bring other people to Jesus.
