1.Summarize MDS pathology as it relates to common symptoms presented in each case study.

2.Compare prognostic scores and median survival for each group.

3.Discuss MDS treatment options and management strategies related to each case study.

4.Understand and explain key nursing considerations for treating patients with MDS.

5.Identify late effects of cancer therapy on each body system.

6.Discuss the head to toe assessment of a cancer survivor.

7.Differentiate between the “Nibs” and Mabs”.

8.Describe the role of targeted therapies in cancer treatment.

9.Delineate 5 pearls of knowledge:

  • For breast cancer tumor markers.
  • For lung cancer management.
  • For radiation therapy.
  • For the patient with anemia.
