County Sports Evening 2017

Time: Sports teams to meet at 6pm ready for a prompt start

Presentation:Trophies will be presented by Ray and Jill Brown at 9.30pm approximately. All clubs will be expected to be present for the presentation.

Moody Bowl: None

Section trophies will be presented once each competition has finished. The overall winning club will hold the Ray & Jill Brown Trophy for one year.

There will be no bar, disco or refreshments. However, Cheshire YFC have exclusive use of the public swimming pool.

All competitors must be a member of the Club for which they are competing and can be over 30 years of age. Please let the below people know if you will or will not be entering teams by Saturday 21st January 2017.

Clubs cannot use competitors taking part in water polo for any other sports.

If a full team is not present when timetabled to start as a result of them taking part in other competitions, then the match will start without them.

Members are reminded that the complex will still be open to the public and must therefore be vigilant of their personal belongings.

Five-a-side Football Knockout:

The evening will run on a very tight schedule and the fixture list must be adhered to. Only one team per club to be entered on the evening.

Members compete at their own risk. Please see insurance note below.

Seven-a-side Netball Knockout:

Games will be played to the National Netball Association Rules. Each team may have nine players and must provide their own bibs. The evening will run on a very tight schedule and therefore the time table must be adhered to. Only one team per club to be entered on the evening.

Squash:

Each Club to have one lady and one gent, as singles on a knockout basis.

Water Polo:

A mixed team of six members (a minimum of two ladies and two gents in each team, the rest of the team can be made up of either ladies or gents).

Table Tennis:

Each Club to have one lady and one gent, as singles on a knockout basis.

INJURY, LOSS AND INSURANCE

Sports players should generally insure themselves against loss of earnings due to injury. The organisers accept no liability for any injuries sustained by any competitor or person connected with these competitions or otherwise. The County Policy of Insurance is mainly for public liability and as such gives limited cash reward for injuries which result in loss of time at work.
