Brig (Dr) BK Khanna is presently serving as Senior Specialist (Training & Capacity Development) in National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), Government of India, since 28th Sep 2005. Brig (Dr) B.K. Khanna did his doctorate in ‘Internal Threat to India-Policy and Options’ and has been in Disaster Management field for over 37 years, including nearly two years in the National Institute of Disaster Management (NIDM), Ministry of Home Affairs. Besides writing a number of articles on Disaster Management in various professional journals, he has written a book, ‘All you Wanted to Know about Disasters’, which was released by the Chief Minister of Delhi on 06 Aug 05 and has been prescribed as text book for MBA Course in Indraprastha University. Brig(Dr) B.K. Khanna has rich experience in Policy Formulation and making Perspective Plans. He taught Policy Formulation at National Level and Making Project Studies at the WarCollege, Mhow, Defence Services Staff College Wellington and BSFAcademy, Tekanpur. While serving in NIDM, he was responsible and actively contributed in making Human Resource Development Plan of Government of India on Disaster Management which has been accepted by the Ministry of Home Affairs. He also planned and executed the training schedule of BSFAcademy and NIDM for three and two years respectively.

P.V.S. Murty, currently working as DGM-LPG Projects Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd joined the services of HPCL in the year 1983. A graduate engineer from OsmaniaUniversity, Hyderabad has worked in various capacities in the organization in the departments of Engineering, Operations and Marketing. He is the founder Manager for the LPG import facilities Terminal at Mangalore and helped to stream line the operations and establishing the terminal as premier import terminal of the country. He has the distinction of associating with the commissioning and stabilizing of yet another import terminal of HPCL at Vishakh. Also associated in commissioning of cross country LPG pipeline by GAIL from Vishakh to Secunderabad in defining the operating procedures , development of Disaster Management Plans and planning the logistics. He has driven the project to convert all the carousels to electronic carousels in HPCL and achieved the distinction of the first oil company in India to have electronic equipment at all bottling plants to ensure quality and quantity of the cylinders. Currently engaged in planning and implementation of crucial infrastructure projects like LPG terminal at Bathinda Punjab, LPG Cavern at Mangalore, LPG pipeline from Mangalore to Bangalore.
Dr. G.Swaminathan is a postgraduate in Chemical Engineering from Alagappa College of Technology, Guindy, Chennai. He has retired from his services just recently as Director Grade Scientist and Head of the Department, Chemical Engineering and the Cell for Industrial Safety and Risk Analysis(CISRA) at the Central Leather Research Institute (CLRI), Adyar, Chennai.
He has been trained in the area at The Netherlands Organization (TNO), Apeldoorn, The Netherlands, pioneers in the area of Hazard & Risk Analysis. He had undergone a special training programme in Thermochemical Analytical Techniques at TA Industrial INC. Delaware, USA.
He has authored and co-authored about 30 publications and co-edited a book titled 'International Conference on Hazard Assessment and Disaster Mitigation in Petroleum and Chemical Industries' published by the Oxford-IBH Publishing Company Private Limited.
He is life member of National Safety Council (NSC), Loss Prevention Association (LPA), Indian Institute of Chemical Engineers, Thermal Analysis Society and Member of Bureau of Indian Standards Technical Committee for Safety Appliance.
His major contribution to the leather field in the area of safety is bringing out a book on Safety Manual for Leather Processing. This book is published by CLRI. He has authored chapters on 'Safety and Occupational Health Hazards on By-products Industries' in the manual on 'Technologies for Animal By-products Utilization in Developing Countries' and 'Hazard & Risk Analysis' in the book 'Chemical Technology for Better Environment'. The latter is published by Indian National Academy of Engineering, New Delhi, India.
Sri. C. Sasi is B.Tech (Hons) in Electrical Engineering from University of Calicut, Kerala. He passed out in the year 1986 with 7th Rank from the University. He has completed Masters in Business Administration in Finance and thereafter Masters in Quality Management from BITS, Pilani. He has more than 23 years of experience in Oil & Gas industry to his credit divided over Public and Private companies. He has extensive experience in Operations, HSSEQ, Maintenance, Engineering construction, Logistics and Contract Management.Sasi is presently the Assistant Vice President & Head of Operations, Logistics & HSSSEQ at Total LPG India Limited (Formerly Elf Gas India Limited).
Mr. Deepak B Mugadur - Currently Deepak is working for GE Corporate as V.P, EHS – India /ASEAN region. He has been in this role since 2001.
Deepak started EHS career in 1991; rendering services for various Companies/ Organization/ Institutes across the globe - as Manager, Consultant, Expert Speaker and Mentor. A Mechanical Engineer with M.S. in Occupational Safety & Health - USA. Also holds an Environmental law Diploma from NationalLawSchool - India.Has international expertise, working in the US and being Country leader for India & South East Asian countries.
