CHART CAPSTONE APPLICATION
MANAGER TRACK

CHART capstones are designed as in-depth workshops focused on applying the concepts learned in each competency track to the real life projects/problems/initiatives brought to the session by participants.

The CHARTManager Capstone is open to participants who have completed all workshops in the Managercompetency track:Coaching & Development, Project Management, and Operational Knowledge.

The Manager Capstone will focus on working through each participant’s project, challenge, or initiative. Participants will walk away with:

  • Practical application of concepts taught in the Manager track workshops
  • Best practices for tackling their management challenge or bringing their initiative to life
  • Expert mentor support/guidance (included a 1-hour private coaching session during the 90 days following the capstone, plus email follow-up with a facilitator/coach)

Additional information:

  • Manager capstone size will be capped at 6-8 participants to ensure adequate time for each participant’s project. Participation is limited on a first come, first served basis.
  • Peer sharing is a part of the capstone experience. All participants are expected to contribute to the discussions of other participants’ projects/challenges/initiatives.

Interested participants must submit this completed application n order to take part in the capstone.The application is intended to help facilitators gauge whether a project meets criteria for the Manager capstone, and should provide enough detail to help facilitators prepare to mentor you during the capstone workshop.

Examples of Manager-level projects, challenges, or initiatives include (but are not limited to):

  • Creating a learning culture where employee development is a primary daily behavior
  • Creating and implementingindividual development plansthat are effective in creating high performing individuals
  • Overcoming issues faced with managing a budget
  • Training department vision—alignment with company vision and strategic goals
  • Creating a training program to teach managers the ins and outs of financial management
  • Working with leaders or project participants that may not want to follow the process
  • Managing project scope/time/cost when requirements change midstream
  • Creating a project plan for a specific training initiative
