CAREER ACHIEVEMENTS
- Developed and delivered finance/accounting and management training programs at both the graduate and undergraduate college level and for Fortune 100 companies. Extensive integration of curricula with Strategy, Operations and Organizational Behavior disciplines. Honored as Professor of the Year by the undergraduate classes of 2006 and 2011.
- Currently providing part time pro bono financial consulting services to the New England Wild Flower Societyincluding planning and budgeting, management reporting, and business analysis.
- Directed finance function for three line organizations in Fortune 100 company with controllership, financial planning and analysis, and business process responsibility. Financial Operations was created in 1996 to manage transaction processing and core reporting worldwide with a mandate to improve productivity/reduce cost by 10-15% per year. The Retail Computer Store chain expanded across the United States, doubling sales volume during my two year tenure. Memory Products Group, in contrast, moved from a highly proprietary product line to a commodity product line, necessitating significant restructuring in order to maintain acceptable profitability levels.
- Program managed corporate initiatives for Fortune 100 company including the corporate budget process, internal audit, and financial systems.
- Managed and executed consulting assignments for manufacturing, retail and service clients in the areas of financial management, operations management and systems development and implementation. Elected to Institute of Management Consultants during ten year career.

Senior lecturerin Accounting responsible for teaching the Managerial Accounting component of the integrated sophomoreundergraduate curriculum as well as undergraduate electives Financial Planning & Cost Control and Management Planning & Control.While I no longer teach at the graduate level, I had been responsible forteaching Managerial Accounting, Financial Accounting and Managerial Finance courses; I was alsofaculty mentor for several MBA BCAP projects.
Developed cases under a Geneen grant on HealthSouth (used in Management Planning & Control) and Build-A-Bear Workshop (used in OEM). Co-authored a case “New Product Innovation at Chet’s Fan Manufacturing, Inc.” with professors Jan Bell and Shahid Ansari which waspublished in 2014in the Journal of the International Academy for Case Studies.
Part time consultant (10 - 25 days per year) to new ventures and non-profit agencies in areas of business plan development and management control systems. Specific areas of work included:
- Pro bono business consultation with New England Wild Flower Society (2002–2014), Historic New England (2004–2009), ATLAS Communities (2003–2004), Boston Natural Areas Network (2002–2003), The Carroll School (2008–2009), Massachusetts Audubon Society (2006 – 2007), Teachers21 (2015 – 2016) and ACCEPT Educational Collaborative (2016 – present).
- Training programs on accounting basics for Applix Corp. (2005) and EMC Corp. (2002 – 2007).

Retail Computer Store chain, rebuilding finance and information systems organizations and instituting financial policies and business control programs.
Memory Products Group, responsible for worldwide business financial results. Due to rapid commoditization of memory products, significant restructuring was needed to maintain profitability.
Program office manager for Digital's (and subsequently Compaq’s) initiative to implement common business processes and financial systems worldwide based on SAP’s integrated business applications.
Personal Computer and Peripherals Group financial planning and analysis manager, driving budget, forecast and operations review processes for the seven business units within the group.
