Title: Facilities Manager

Reports to: Operations Pastor

Status: Full Time

Approved Date: August 2014 (filled January 2015)

DESCRIPTION

The person filling this full time, “at will” position will be responsible for all aspects of the maintenance, care and cleanliness of the CUMC Campus. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for managing all contract work, supervising and directing the activities of custodial crew, ensuring that all scheduled and preventative maintenance is current. This person will be responsible for managing the Campus Master Calendar for space usage to include set up and tear down of all church functions. This person will handle routine maintenance chores outside the scope of the custodial crew (basic electrical repairs, plumbing, renovation and painting), and ensure that the campus is clean and safe.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Routine Handyman tasks such as plumbing, drywall, and electrical repairs; basic facilities repairs and general painting and cleanup (major repairs will be completed by licensed/bonded experts)

·  Manages master calendar for campus space usage, ensuring all church events are taken care of (set up/tear down/clean up)

·  Stocking and ordering of cleaning and maintenance supplies

·  Manage all contracts that deal with the campus (Lawn care, Trash removal, Pest Extermination, Elevator and Fire Control maintenance, Etc.)

·  Monitoring and scheduling regular maintenance of all equipment

·  Primary person responsible for the cleanliness of entire campus

·  Be responsible for the safety and security of the campus, to include opening/lock up of buildings

·  Supervise and manage custodial crew and their tasks

·  Assist Trustees with routine minor maintenance of church buses and other campus property

·  Ensure that the campus is clean, secure and ready for Sunday Morning Worship

·  Coordinate with Trustees all volunteer beautification projects

·  All other duties as assigned by the Operations Pastor

QUALIFICATIONS

·  Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED and 3 years relevant experience

·  Applicant must have demonstrated experience in electrical, plumbing and general construction repairs

·  Applicant must have their own transportation and a valid South Carolina driver’s license; CDL license preferred. Must agree to appropriate background checks

·  Applicant must be willing to work in the evening, on weekends and during special events

·  Must become a participating member of Chapin UMC
