Sunday May 17 5:30 to 7 PM at the Goose Pond Colony Main Office

(Note: This is the first building on the left as you enter the complex)

Fees: Tournament Package

Check or Money Order for $875/team or $175/individual should be included with entry. If unable due to time constraints, fees may be paid on check-in if valid entry is received by deadline. Amount includes Monday Practice Round, Tournament fees and banquet fees for players participating in the tournament and 1 coach.

Non-Package Fees

The following fee schedule has been implemented for anyone not interested in taking advantage of the Tournament Package offered above.

Team Entry Fee - $600Individual Entry Fee - $120

Monday Practice Round Fee will be $150 /team or $30 /individual.

Banquet Fee - $30/person

Cart rental for Coaches $20 per cart / per day.

Host Course

All Tournament and Practice Rounds will be played at Goose Pond Colony Golf Course. This exciting George Cobb designed course sits on the banks of the Tennessee River and has received a four star rating from Golf Digest. Theyardage will play 7101 to a rating of 73.1, slope 129. Goose Pond is a Par 72 layout that has been called “breath taking”.

Practice Schedule

Practice times are available at Goose Pond Colony as follows:

Sunday May 17th

Sunday practice will be available to players, coaches and guest who have arranged a tee time in advance. The charge will be $30 per person walking or $44 per person riding. Call 256-912-0063 to reserve a spot for your team or individual.

Monday May 18th

Tournament sponsored practice rounds – Shotgun start

8:00 AM and 1 PM

This will be for PLAYERS only. No coaches or guests may play.

Coaches may rent golf carts for $20 per cart/per day

PracticeRange

Our practice range will be open to players before each tee time.

There is no additional fee for use of this range prior to scheduled Rounds.

Extended Practice

Goose Pond Plantation, our other course is located on Co. Rd. 17 and will be available for practice. Contact the club house at Goose Pond Colony for directions and additional information.

Spectator Admission

Admission will be charged for all spectators Tuesday through Friday at $10 per day. The proper arm band must be worn visible while on the course. Tournament Passes good for admission to all 4 rounds will be $35.00. Spectators may rent golf carts for $20 subject to rules and availability.Team passes – Each team will be issued one pass for each participating roster player and coach. All others must purchase entrance passes.VIP Passes – A limited number of VIP passes are available for College Presidents and Athletic Directors. Please Contact the tournament director in advance in writing to request VIP passes.

Banquet

Players and Coaches Banquet will be held at the Scottsboro Goose Pond Civic Center on Monday May 18th at 7 PM.

The banquet is an integral part of the championship tournament experience and an official tournament function.

Fees for the banquet are included in the tournament package.Fees for team or individual non-package fees do not include banquet fees of $30 per person.

Every player and head coach is expected to attend.

Cost for guest is $30.00 per person.

Reservations must be made on or before Sunday at check-in.

Dress is casual.

A short program will be presented during dinner.

Coaches Meeting

Coaches meeting will be held Sunday Evening May 17, 2015 at 7:00 pm at the Goose Pond Colony Main Office. (First building on left as you enter complex)

Closing Ceremonies, Awards Presentation

Closing ceremonies will follow Friday’s championship round at the # 18 green.

Awards will include first, second and third place teams and top 18 medalists.

We ask that all players and coaches attend.

A hospitality area for tournament coaches will be provided at the course.

Tournament Policy Highlights

• All NJCAA and USGA rules will be followed to the letter. Coach’s responsibility to be familiar with NJCAA Handbook Article XII. M. with special emphasis on Section 5.

• Players will be penalized for failure to observe the rules of etiquette of golf or NJCAA behavior policies.

• The National Championships will be a no-cut tournament. All participants are expected to play through Friday and attend the awards ceremony.

• Teams consist of a minimum of 4 players and a maximum of 5. No more that 5 players may compete for a college.

• If 4 players qualify as individuals they will be scheduled as individuals but combined score will be eligible for team awards.

No players or coaches will be permitted to play on the tournament site on Friday or Saturday May 15 or 16.

• Advice may be given by coaches only. All coaches must wear identification as provided by the tournament when on the course.

• Carts may be rented at the rate of $20 / day. All carts must remain on cart paths during tournament play, no exceptions. Any disruption in the play of golf by any coach or spectator in a cart will result in the suspension of all cart use for spectators and coaches.

• No contestant shall be permitted to enter the NJCAA Championship Golf Tournament unless accompanied by a designated supervisor. A designated sponsor form provided must be filed with the tournament for entry. NJCAA Handbook Article XII. M. 3. b.

• Tee times will be set by NJCAA rules however; the rules committee reserves the right to reschedule times in the event of suspended play or other considerations.

• USGA tie breakers procedure will be used.

• In the case of any infraction, the final authority shall be the rules committee comprised of the rules chairman or his designee, tournament director or his designee, NJCAA representative or his designee and the Goose Pond Colony Director of Golf or his designee.
