AGREEMENT

In consideration of being permitted to utilize the facilities, services, and programs of the South Callaway School, for any purpose including, but not limited to observation or use of facilities and equipment, or participation in any programs affiliated with the South Callaway School, the undersigned for him/herself and any other personal representatives, executors and administrators, WAIVE, RELEASE,DISCHARGE, AND COVENENT NOT TO SUE the South Callaway School or the Blue Thunder or any of its affillates, , or South Callaway School District , their directors, officers, employees, and their agents for any and all injuries and other damages which he/she may suffer in connection with his/her participation in the program or any other activities.

South Callaway Basketball Tournament Rules

MISSOURI STATE HIGH SCHOOL ASSOCIATION RULES WITH THE FOLLOWING EXCEPTIONS:

  1. Gate fee of $3 per person will be charged per day (students 12 and under are free)
  2. Each team is required to provide a scorekeeper. (Just in case, we should have enough)
  3. GIRLS WILL USE GIRLS BALLS 28.5”
  4. BOYS WILL USE REGULATION BOY’S BALLS. (appropriate for age)
  5. GAMES WILL BE ( 4 ) 8 MINUTE QUARTERS with a running clock. The clock will stop for only: team time outs, injuries, or any reason deemed necessary by the official. The clock will stop the last 2 minutes of each half according to Missouri State High School rules.
  6. EACH TEAM WILL BE ALLOWED 2 TIME OUTS PER HALF. TIME OUTS WILL BE 60 SECONDS IN LENGTH. TIME OUTS WILL NOT CARRY OVER TO SECOND HALF OR OVERTIME.
  7. IF THE GAME IS TIED AT THE END OF REGULATION PLAY Two minute overtime will be played with clock stopping according to Missouri State High School rules. Each team will be allowed 1 time out in overtime 60 seconds in length. IF AT THE END OF THE OVERTIME PERIOD THE GAME IS STILL TIED- A player from each team will shoot a free throw. The first player to make a free throw when the other player misses his free throw, that team will be declared the winner. If both players miss, then two new players will be chosen till a winner is declared.
  8. HALF TIME FOR EACH GAME WILL BE 5 MINUTES IN LENGTH
  9. NO PRESS ALLOWED IN THE 3RD AND 4TH GRADE DIVISIONS
  10. 5th and 6th GRADE DIVISION CAN PRESS ON DEFENSE unless there is a 15 point lead.
  11. NO PRESS AFTER 15 POINT LEAD.
  12. TEAM MUST PROVIDE OWN WARM-UP BALLS. GAME BALLS WILL BE PROVIDED.
  13. EACH TEAM WILL BE ALLOWED 5 MINUTES PRE-GAME WARM UP TIME “IF TIME ALLOWS”
  14. BENCH WARNING THEN BENCH TECHINICAL FOR COACH, PLAYERS OR PARENTS WHO ARE OUT OF LINE. REFEREES MAY ASK ANYONE TO LEAVE IF THEY ARE OUT OF LINE.
  15. ANY TECHINICAL FOUL EITHER BY A COACH OR FAN OR PLAYER WILL BE REPORTED TO THE ATHLETICS BOARD.
  16. TEAM ROSTER MUST BE TURNED IN PRIOR TO FIRST GAME. ROSTER MUST STAY THE SAME THROUGHOUT THE TOURNAMENT UNLESS APPROVED BY THE DIRECTOR. IF THERE IS A ROSTER CONCERN, PLEASE CONTACT SARAH CALDWELL DIRECTLY, I WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE GROUNDS OF THE TOURNAMENT.
  17. AWARDS WILL BE GIVEN, WE WILL NOT GIVE MORE THAN 10 PER TEAM.
  18. TEAMS MAY PLAY UP – SPECIAL CONSIDERATION WILL BE GIVEN TO TEAMS IF DISCUSSED WITH THE DIRECTOR, PLEASE LIST ALL REQUESTS IN EMAIL OR WHEN MAILING IN YOUR ROSTER.
  19. ROSTERS AND FEES MUST BE RECEIVED NO LATER THAN THE 28TH OF NOVEMBER FOR THE GIRLS TOURNAMENT AND NO LATER THAN DECEMBER 5TH FOR THE BOYS.
  20. SCHEDULES WILL BE SENT OUT NO LATER THAN THE MONDAY PRIOR TO THE TOURNAMENT; GAMES WILL BE LUCK OF THE DRAW UNLESS THERE ARE SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS.
