CESSE in the market as the key resource to science, technology, and engineering associations / Definition: Build the financial business model, infrastructure, and staff to drive sustainable organizational success
Purpose: To elevate the range of resources and solutions available to our societies / Purpose: To raise the capacity of leadership professionals within science, technology and engineering associations / Purpose: To expand awareness and connection among individual stakeholders, and to develop a leadership pipeline within CESSE / Purpose: To communicate our value and agenda to current and prospective stakeholders to drive action / Purpose: To ensure the long term viability of the organization to meet stakeholder needs
Initiatives:
- Fosters sharing of models and practices through on-line forums and programming
- Explore external industries and new content distribution channels for bringing fresh thinking into the community
- Actively highlight and share best practices from member organizations
- Define ‘leader’ within our space (body of knowledge or KSAs required)
- Define skills and characteristics of high potential leaders
- Create exceptional meeting experiences that reinforce member value and loyalty
- Evaluate add’l programmatic needs for stakeholders, i.e., a mentor program for high potential leaders
- Define scope of membership eligibility
- Develop CESSE recruitment goals and narrative
- Consider alternative governance models, specifically high performing board role, and volunteer leadership development
- Redesign the partnership model to maximize mutual value
- Develop communication and branding objectives
- Clarify the membership model and value
- Identify the preferred categories, and roles, of partners
- Create and implement marketing and communication campaigns to drive action (renewal, attendance, sponsorship)
- Rebrand organization
- Address CESSE’s desired business model and product/service portfolio
- Evaluate revenue diversification options
- Address technology platform to deliver business model
- Review and/or revise our financial investment policy
