Bipasha Roy (29) is a native of Shantiniketan, West Bengal and has lived in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh since 2009. She works with Sahbhagi Sikshan Kendra as Program Officer where she is responsible for project monitoring, supervision, networking and liaisoning with different stakeholders and CSO. Prior to this, she has worked with Uttarakhand Decentralized Watershed Development Project (UDWDP) as Division Coordinator and with Udyogini as BDS Coordinator. Bipasha has done a Bachelors of Social Work (BSW) and a Masters of Social Work (MSW) from Visva Bharti University, Shantiketan, West Bengal. She likes to visit new places and explore new culture.

Sharmili Basu (28) is a native of Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. She works with Samarthan as Communications Manager, the Urban Coordinator for JTT Migration project and handles SHG related work. Prior to this, she worked with ICICI Securities as Management Trainee and with Cybertech as an Online Marketing Executive. She has completed her Bachelors in Microbiology from LAD College, Nagpur and MBA with specialization in Marketing from ISBS, Pune. She loves travelling, socializing, listening to music and photography. She believes that we get what we give so she is on a path of doing good and being kind whenever possible.

Izharuddin Qureshi (31) lives in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. He works with Samarthan as Programme Coordinator of the Migration Programme. His responsibilities include managing activities of all three Shramik Sahayta Evam Sandarbh Kendras run by Samarthan in three districts of Madhya Pradesh. He is actively engaged in strategic planning, monitoring, documentation and operational management of the migration programme. He has done his Masters of Social Work and Masters of Philosophy in Social Sciences from Ambedkar Institute, MHOW. He has 7 years of work experience in the field of social development, during which he has worked with Government Departments, Corporate agencies and Non Government Organisations. He loves to read books, especially autobiographies.

Shiv kishor Dwivedi (33) belongs to Chitrakoot in Madhya Pradesh. He works at Paryavaran Evam Prodyogiki Utthan Samiti (PEPUS) as document coordinator. He is responsible for planning, analysis, research and reporting under the “Migration population support programme”. Before joining PEPUS, he was involved in the education initiatives with a special focus on child rights. He has done his Bachelors in Botany from Sagaour University and Masters in Social Work from Indore School of Social Work. He loves to spend his free time in discussing social issues with persons of varied background which he believes enriches the rainbow of his knowledge.

Sarfaraz Sheikh (29) belongs to the Gogunda tehsil of Udaipur district, Rajasthan. He has done his bachelors in History, Public Administration and Sociology. He began his career as a computer operator and worked in this position for 4 years. He joined Kotda Adivasi Sangathan (KAS) in October 2009 as accountant and currently works as a programme coordinator. He is responsible for planning, organizing and monitoring the activities of the 3SK centers run by KAS.

Vikas Singh (30) belongs to Ajmer, Rajasthan. He has done a Masters in Social Work from Janardhan Rai Nagar Rajasthan Vidya Peeth. He worked as a Young Professional in CAPART for two years and then worked as a Programme Officer in NREGS, Rajasthan for a year. Currently, he is working as a project coordinator in Gramin evam Samajik Vikas Sansthan (GSVS), Ajmer since 2009. His job responsibilities include planning, organizing, implementing, coordinating and evaluating the activities of the project.

Rudra Charan Pattnaik (41) hails from Nuapada district in Odisha. He has work experience of over 19 years in the development sector. He started his career as a Field Supervisor for a baseline assessment study on primary education in Odisha conducted by NCERT, then worked as a Coordinator - Emergency and Rehabilitation in Lutheran World Service, Kolkata for 7 years. After that, he worked as a Field Supervisor at Banbasi Kalyan Ashram for a year and then as Development Inspector at New India Assurance Company Limited for about two and a half years. He has been the chairman of PARDA, Odisha since 2006. Besides that, he is an honorary member of various boards and committees like District Vigilance Monitoring Committee (PoA), District Juvenile Justice Board, Anti Trafficking Committee, Bonded Labour Vigilance Committee and more. He has also written a manual titled ‘Child Rights Advocacy and Right to Education’.

Rina Linus Parmar (30) lives in Ahmedabad. She has done a Post Graduation Program in Development Management (PPDM) from Behavioural Science Center, Ahmedabad and Masters of Social Work from Institute of Advanced Studies in Education (IASE) University. She began her career in 2005, as an Educational Officer (Dalit & Women’s issues) at Behavioural Science Centre. From 2007 to 2011, she worked as a coordinator, Migrant & Child Labour Project, at PRAYAS Centre for Labour Research and Action, Ahmedabad. Since 2011, she has been working at Aajeevika Bureau, as the coordinator of Ahmedabad centre. Planning, monitoring, implemenatation and documentation of project activities constitute her major work responsibilities.

Deena Nath Singh (42) has done Master in Social Work (MSW) and Bachelor of Law (LLB) from Lucknow University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He was the incharge of district resource centres of Sahbhagi Shikshan Kendra (S.S.K), Sitapur from 2002 to 2005 and S.S.K Mirzapur from 2005 to 2007 respectively. He was the program officer – State Facilitating Agency, Yamuna Action plan – II at S.S.K Ghaziabad from 2007 to 2010. Currently, he is working as a program officer – migration project at S.S.K Ghaziabad. His responsibility includes advocacy with government on issues of migrants; networking and liaising with different stakeholders; research and documentation and conducting various activities like workshops, health camps, training programs etc.

Biren Kumar Dash (35) belongs to Balipatana, Khurda district, Odisha. He has worked with different organizations like Institute of Youth and Women Welfare (Balipatana, Odisha), Nehru Yuva Kendra (Khurda, Government of India), Darbar Sahitya Sangh (Balipatana, Odisha) and BASIX (Gaya, Bihar). He is currently working as a programme coordinator at Madhyam Foundation in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. His major work responsibilities include managing the project staff and helping them in the implementation of project activities; doing documentation of the activities and preparing project reports; and maintaining a good rapport with government and line departments. He has done Master in Social Work. His hobby is to play and watch cricket and read newspapers.

Jagdeep Singh Rathore (27) lives in Ajmer, Rajasthan and has been working in the development sector since 2009. He has worked as a SHG supervisor and an Education coordinator in SWERA sansthan and as a Project Coordinator in Goatry project, Ajmer. Currently, he is a Centre Incharge at G.S.V.S, Jassakhera. He oversees the planning and implementation of the activities and services under the migration programme. He has won Best worker Award in area of womens empowerment for SWERA Sansthan Kanpura, Ajmer in the year 2009.

Dharmraj Gurjar (25) belongs to Kaseer, Tonk district, Rajasthan. He has done Bachelor in Science in Rural Technology from J.R.N. University, Udaipur and Masters of Social Work from IGNOU. He is working with Aajeevika Bureau since 2009. Currently, he is working with rural youth on subject of skill up-gradation, placement and counselingfor Aajeevika Bureau’s regular skill training programs. His dream is to become an expert in the areas of youth behaviour and livelihood.

Abhaya Kumar Maharaj (41) works as a Project Associate – Migration Cell, Gram Utthan, Rajkanika, Odisha since 2010. He is responsible for the implementation of all the services under the Migration Program. Prior to joining Gram Utthan, he has worked in different programs at ABLE, Kendrapada, Odisha – as a Field Coordinator in CARE-REHAB program; as a Program Coordinator in child labour rehabilitation program and as a Field Coordinator in women empowerment program. He joined Gram Utthan as a Logistics Manager in livelihood restoration program and then moved to the migration programme in 2010.

Mr. Abhimanyu Rana (41) is the chief functionary (Secretary) of KARMI, Kalahandi, Odisha. He has been working in the development sector since 1991 and currently as a project coordinator of the migration programme. He has worked with NIPDIT and AGRAGAMEE, two leading NGOs of Odisha. He has also worked in the most under-developed and tribal pockets of Koraput, Balangir and Kalahandi (popularly known asKBK districtsin Orissa) on the themes of education, health and hygiene, capacity building of people and institutions, agriculture and watershed development. His hobby is playing sports and gardening.

Purna Chandra Khatua (37) is a native of Badachhapapali, in Odisha State. He has been working with Youth Council for Development Alternatives(YCDA) since 1997 and has been associated with different projects on health, livelihood, PRI training and ASHA Training under NRHM. For the past four years, he has been working as Centre Coordinator under the migration programme. His core responsibility is overseeing the operations at the block level. This includes planning and supervising the centre’s activities under the migration programme.
