Ceramics Ireland Selected Exhibition 2016

The Pearse Museum, St. Endas Park,

An external panel of jurors independently select this show.

We are looking for up to four pieces from each entrant.NB This year we will be exhibiting in the Halla Mór and will have very limited wall space so please consider this when sending in your submissions. Sets cannot be split up or sold as separate items; the set must be marked and sold as one piece. The mounting fee is €25 for all paid up members (those with “2016” on their cards) this amount, which is non-refundable, must be sent along with Form A, which is enclosed.

Please note: The commission rate 30% should be included in the price of your work.

Please note: It is very important to ensure that the ceramics submitted are of a high standard, i.e., no surface defects, including bases. If submitting wall pieces, they should be submitted (Ready to hang) with D - rings attached.

Deadlines:

Form A - as soon as possible (before Thursday 24th November)

Please note:Any entry arriving after 30th November cannot be accepted.

The ceramics must be carefully packed with the Price and the Name of the ceramicist on each item, and Form B must be completed and included with your boxed work.Please write your name on the boxes of ceramics and mark clearly for the exhibition.

Collection details: Members must arrange collection of their unselected work from the Pearse on Saturday 3rd December 5pm (Date of Opening). Ceramics Ireland cannot accept any responsibility for work left after that time.

  • ‘The Peter Brennan Annual Pioneering Award’–

PLEASE NOTE: Helena will generously award €1000 this year to celebrate the 100th year since Peter’s birth.

Helena Brennan initiated this €500 award in memory of her late husband Peter Brennan. The work chosen should represent “work which has broken new ground in ceramics” or “to someone who has manifested a real break-through in their own work through research and practice”.
