INTRODUCTION

The Commission of the African Union is committed to support the use and development of science in Africa and has initiated with its key development partners the AU Regional Women Scientific Award Programme.The objective of this programme is toaward Cash Prizes and Recognition Certificates to excelling African women researchers for their achievements in Earth and Life Sciences, and Basic, Science, Technology and Innovation sectors.This award programme is being implemented by Regional Economic Communities within the five regions of Africa.

a)National Academy of Science or

b)National Research Council and

c)The Applicant’s recent Institution

Applications should be sent to the relevant Regional Economic Community(See Annex 1) on or before the deadline date either as hardcopies or electronically (For electronic copies please ensure authenticity of all documents).
